Just my 2 cents. If miami want a solid defensive starting 5 (it seems pretty set as is) I would definitively start Chalmers.

        My starting Five would be
        Chalmers
        Wade
        Lebron
        Bosh
        Haslem

Haslem took an extreme paycut this year when he could have gone many other places and played major roles. He deserves the spot, and is best fit for this team. He has a great set jump shot and can rebound well. Anthony will be a great defensive option, and as long as he knows his role, he will fit well.
        NBA season so close....

Against Orlando, Boston, New Jersey he will be abused at the center position. I am a huge Udonis fan.

He is a PF and best coming off the bench with this team.

Jermaine O'Neal has yet to show he's back. And im sure Haslem knows J.O'Neal game.
I guarantee theyve played against each other before.

Howard is another story. So is Shaq.

Brook Lopez while good isnt scoring at will on Haslem. He's no Howard.

If I was controlling Miami I would make the pre-game adjustments or just give Bosh the Defensive assignment.

Im curious to see what they do in in reality.

Agreed. They should sign Magloire so they have another body to throw at Dwight, Pau and Bynum.

I actually traded he and Wally Scazierback (sp?) for Jerry Stackhouse and Sean Marks (remember him?). What had happened is Mike Miller has a balky back and I needed another outside shooting swing man. So I signed Wally. Well I regereted it after playing him 15 minutes one night and he just was not fitting in, and he started complaining after 2 games. Once I saw we signed Stackhouse in real life (I don't want to start over in my Association) I made that offer and they took it (The Wizards). I already have Anthony and Big Z as my 2 Centers I rotate. Now if one goes down I have to plug in Marks against the bigs in the East and West when we play them.....I will deal with that if i have too.

Which just shows we need to draft a young big man in our first draft of this Association. Anthony though is a nice shot blocker and decent rebounder. He just can't score a lick. Even under the basket he is sub par. Pittman (our second round pick this past year) may work out down the road though.

Thus far though I have been very impressed with the AI trying to exploit our one glaring weakness at the center position. And so far I have had a rough start. The season is not going to be a cake walk by any stretch. And I love the challenge thus far. It seems every team is bringing it against the Heat.

The Center position isnt loaded w/ back to the basket big dudes. He can handle the Bargnani, Biendris of the L. And Bosh can swap over if the assignment is to hard.

Anthony isnt going to have to score either just put backs and play defense.
The pick and roll will be done with the stars.
Teams are going to play alot of zone against Miami, so they certainly will need to stretch the floor. This is why they were sure to get shooters. I like Chalmers in that lineup better for spot shooting. Defenses can pretty much focus all attention on the 3 and try to force Arroyo and Anthony to score. The better defenses in the league such as Boston, may find some success in this area. Additionally, the driving lanes need to be open for Wade and Lebron. Anthony lumbering around the basket can cause congestion, while Big Z/Haslem can take force the defense to spread out.

Magloire has been on the team. They released Butler today(dissapointed by that but understand why) in favor of keeping the big body of Magloire.

True, but in the video game Arroyo's FG% is that much lower than Chalmers when spotting up? Sayin if u swapped?

Chalmers has drained some big threes for me when I have been doubled in the paint or have seen the paint collapse on me when driving with WAde or Lebron.

Arroyo thus far has been dreadful from the floor. But keep in mind Chalmers maybe takes 3-4 shots a game for me. Same if Arroyo was on the floor. I am playing Chalmers 30 minutes a night right now and getting Wade to play some point as well and Beverly has played well in his 5-7 minutes a night(but now he has been cut so I face a roster decision to keep it as authentic as I can). But as the season wears on Arroyo will get more minutes (he currently is on the bench and not playing for me), I need to give Wade and Lebron some more rest as they have been playing 40 plus minutes a night for 12 games (other than Wades 1 week hip bruise). They won't last if I keep this up.
