Im on the ps3 and I freeze up after 1st Q in Association. I will try this tactic later on tonight and let you know

What would work is if the gamer wasn't forced to come up with their own work arounds...This needs to be fixed ASAP!

Yeah but 2k to a ea move and was more worried about the stupid online fix I'm pretty sure some of these issues are nothing more then coding.

i dont even log into my account online. My freezing issue doesnt happen during a game, it happens when i exit my association. When its going to the main screen it always freezes.

yep, thats the one killing me and I haven't found a "workaround" that works yet. Hopefully this is patched cuz its killing the game. 2k is so worried about winning awards, they should fix stuff like this. No "game of the year" should have THIS many freezing problems

This issue just started happening for me since yesterday! Every single time I start of the game and it's on the Loading File part in the beginning it completely freezes EVERYTHING, even the 360! I even let it sit there for about 10 mins just to see if it would come back, but no luck.

I originally tried deleting files and I accidentally deleted all the shoes that I had unlocked which was like 22 of the 40 as well as all the Jordan Challenges. I had completed them all, but now it shows them as never being done which also gray's out Create a Legend Mode because it thinks I haven't completed the challenges yet when I have. I still kept my Legend file that I kind of started to try it out, and I can load it, but once I exit it and get back to the main quick game screen, when I look through the menu's it's still grayed out and can't select it to like start a new legend season or whatever.

Same with the shoe's, all the shoe's that I had unlocked that I had put on some of the players on my team in the Association Mode still have them on with the correct stat boost, but if I change the shoe's under the edit player screen I can't put the ones I had on them originally unless I exit out of the edit player screen without saving and then when I go back in then they'll be back on. Then I rechecked the Jordan Shoe's section and still act's/shows that I haven't unlocked any even though there are a lot assigned to players that didn't have them originally.

So today when I tried playing again it did the same thing. This time I did the sign out of my 360 profile which also signs me out of xbox live and then start up the game. I'll get to the loading screen and it wants me to create a new profile since I'm not signed into mine and from there I'll sign back in and then I still have to retype a user name but from there I'll just retype my same user profile name and it tells me something that I can't use the same or multiple user names and once I hit OK then it brings me to the quick game screen and from there I can load my Association Mode or whatever.

However, because of this though, I think I'm going to stop playing until this issue is resolved and or the patch comes out. We/I shouldn't have to do this EVERYTIME I want to play this game, as well as risk losing more shoe's that get unlocked or worse yet any of the modes that I've put a lot of time in. Right now I just completed my 10th game in Association Mode, so if I have to start all over again then it's not that big of a deal, especially since I went and lost everything already. So I might just delete EVERYTHING once the patch or this issue is fixed and then start brand new just so I don't bring in any corrupted files or whatever onto the new fixed files just so I don't risk losing everything again down the road.

This had definitely made me super upset because I've been loving this game up until yesterday as this is my only issue I've had. I do have other games I still need to beat anyways so might as well as work on that until this issue get's fixed which I hope isn't to much longer.

If anything this should be top priority for 2K to resolve because this basically breaks the game and really can't play it unless we do all this crazy DIY fixes just to get into the game. This shouldn't wait till they release the "big patch". I just really REALLY HOPE it's not much longer or this game just might get shelved for the season just like all the other ones since NBA 2K8, well 2K9. 2K8 was the last one I played a lot and multiple seasons. I just couldn't get into 2K9 or 2K10 and I even bought each season and still have them. Just something about them I didn't like or enjoy, mainly because they were so super easy even on HOF, but this one hasn't been like that and has been giving me a challenge most of the time.

We'll see what happens....

I can't believe this... I can't start a franchise and half the time, can't get past the start screen!

I've uninstalled the game and re-installed, played off the disc, deleted the living roster and the nba today files along with all of my 2kshare files... something is seriously wrong right now with this game.

This is my favorite hoops game of all time, but I will be playing only Black Ops until 2K fixes this freezing issue. And they better hurry before thousands of us loose interest and trade in for NBA Jam or something else.

Didnt work I simmed the 3 games before the all star game and everything works now... Iam still disappointed I had to sim
