Anyone having controller problems?

I'm on the PS3.
I have 2 offical PS3 controller. (One is red and the other is black. Not that
it matters)

One controller is bring up the in-game subs/player match ups menu. Screen all game long. You don't know how annoying it is. Its so bad... That we had to play blacktop games all night because that doesn't have the sub menu. And also its not that the D-pad is stuck in a certain postion. It seems to come up as you press a combnation of L2 and R2 while trying to do iso-motion.

The other controller makes you pass when you don't want too. No R1 isn't sticking. I even tu

Yea I had the same problems, but my controller already had some issues previously. The battery was dying and I think the analog was worn. I borrowed a newer controller and haven't had these problems since.

I know how annoying it can be, you see an open man under the basket and as you try to pass to him these menus pop up and you can no longer pass.

So your saying its the controller... Because its only a few months old. I'll buy a new today and see the difference. But they work for my other games.

Whenever I had a left to right (screen orientation) fast break, the coaching menu would pop up. I PM'ed one of the developers about this when the game first launched because I thought it was a glitch. He suggested that it may be my controller because it wasn't a glitch he heard of before. I only have one controller, so I couldn't test out another controller for reference right away. So I played with the controller so more, and sure enough, it was my controller. If you put a lot of pressure on the left analog stick as you push it to the right, it would pop up. I was able to replicate at will, so that's I knew it was definitely my controller. I can work around it now that I know what causes it, but I'll eventually be getting another controller. It is annoying though because I've blown tons of easy scoring opportunities because of this.

You telling me....I'm 2-6 in my league. The worst start I've ever had. A lot of my league members have been asking if I was alright. Because I been making some very uncharacteristic plays. It drives me crazy. It must be my controller. I'm getting another one tonight...

What's the Lifespan of a PS3 Controller, cause i will get another just for backup to prevent this.

One of them is old (few years).... but the other is only a few months old... I mean because if I play a street game. It works perfectly fine. I was this close to breaking one the other day. When it finally stopped. And I made a nice come back on someone. And I had a chance to tie the game. I called a nice inbound play to get the SG open. And I ran through the screens. And became wide open. Only thing was the sub menu came up. And I stood there with the ball in my hands as the buzzer went out....

You can only imagine...

wow...this is a bizarre thread jeebs...you may just need to delete your profile settings and start anew. I doubt its your controller if it works for other games...

When crazy stuff like this happens...i just wipe the slate clean...deleting everything 2k related...then have the game re-download everything again.

I don't think it's the settings. My controller worked fine for other games too, I just had to keep the cord plugged in cause of the faulty battery. I've done a bit of research on this before, and there's some others that have had the same problem.

Since 2K10, whenever I pass the ball to my SF he will pump fake automatically. I cleared everything. I am on the 360

You telling me... You I only create a thread if something is bothering me. I can't imagine that all my controllers just stop working correctly. And then they start working right. And then going back to not working. Its pretty crazy...

my controller just moves my player to the left of the screen by itself... i have 4 different controllers 2 brand new, tried them wired and wireless even on 2 different 360s and it still happens from time to time. Luckily they put in the forcefield to keep you from going outta bounds because sometimes i'll pumpfake and he'll just be sliding against the forcefield... happens in association, online play, quick games, practice, online leagues...EVERYWHERE

I've had a few problems with the shooting input. When I pass to a open shooter and press the button, they wont shoot. It doesn't happen all the time, but happens enough to be annoying.

Every once in a while, the momentum takes over even if I'm barely pressing on the LS which has caused several backcourt violations.

I think it's just a game problem moreso than the controller. The sub menu is hell to deal with.

Its no its not the controllers. Last night I played a bunch of games and it didn't come up all night. I won a few games last ight...

Hopefully it keeps working...
