Dumb Question

Ok so I have been playing this game since it came out and I still cannot figure out what something is. There is an icon in association mode that has a signature on it (in February, I believe.) It's not the trading deadline or all-star break stuff, but something else. I clicked on it and it said nothing or prompted me to do anything so I just kinda forgot about it but I still want to know what it is. Can someone inform me of what this is, please?

I'm pretty sure it is the last day you can offer extensions to your players.

No problem. Go to General Manager> Manage Roster> Player Contracts

Then click right stick on the players who are in the last year of their contract (only one salary showing), right trigger over to contract screen (the one where they say "I just signed my contract and am focusing on basketball now"), and if they are interested in signing an extension it will say something like "I'm interested in getting a deal done right now", exit out, push X (or bottom button on XBOX) and "Sign" will be available.

You can also see the contract screen any time when clicking the right stick on a player, where they will indicate they are interested. Or you can just press X (or bottom button) on all the players in the last year and see if "Sign" is available.

But, you only have until that day where you see the icon to do so. And their interest in re-signing may show up at any time between opening day and that date. So keep checking.

Once you know it, if you look closely, it kind of looks like a contract.
