lol, you've been working on too many sliders, man.

But I haven't played the game post patch. I just DLed it today but I decided to play 5v5 online on Live cuz my friends were on.

For me, I will continue to whine about the same things I was whining about in 2006 on 2k forums... some of us believe that if we keep whining, something will change. every time a new game is released or a new patch is released and the same issue is still there, it makes us more angry and more outspoken.

But I've pretty much given up. Just wanted to say that whining is a constant, sure, but a lot of the people who are most outspoken are the ones who have been dissatisfied for years. IMO when NBA 2k7 came out everyone was happy. Even 2k Forums was filled with happy people. But now even though 2k11 is the game of the decade, people are on 2k forums just bitching, mostly about stuff like net play and my player freezes.

    Just my 2c.

I have no gameplay issues with the patch. I just wanna be able to play a game online without the game disconnecting after 2 minutes of the first quarter

        LoL

I read tons of threads complaining about a guys release being wrong, the shade of colors being off, the court isn't right, the shoes look horrible, the alt uniforms are missing...etc, etc.

But as soon as someone says the auto playcalling in My Player isn't working, it's instantly considered complaining or whining. People are being told you can't score 30+ as a rookie IRL, your teammates aren't passing a rookie the ball 10+ times a game IRL, rookies don't do this or that IRL.

Who decides what's a complaint and what's not a complaint? Who decides this guys issues has more validity that that guys issue? If the game is perfect for you, why even bother reading the "complaint" threads, then complain about them?

For what is worth, I think the VC basketball crew is one development team that is always fully cognizant of the issues with their game. You may disagree with some of their design decisions, or they may not be able to solve a particular issue during one development cycle, but they aren't a group that needs to be constantly bombarded with screams from the rooftops.
Thats why EA does it right with NHL 2011 because they let you choose to use any of the gameplay updates so you can use which one suits you best.

You would think 2k would be able to do this with the shot stick. Give us option 1.01 or 1.02 versions, that would keep everyone happy no?
