Thank You, this is the reason I asked the question. Most of the time I play NBA Today games, I should have stated that in the 1st post. Thanks for the tips for when I start MY PLAYER.
    PS3, we had a good run! (7/18/09-10/5/14)

Oh, well everybody was telling you to work on skills and I'm too lazy to read through the thread.

      Oh well, glad to help.

You'll be absolutely blown away when you see all the player tendencies if you're new to the series.

I have to admit...this post cracked me up

I also have a few problems with dunking especially with my big guys but I'm really happy that the dunks were tuned down with the latest patch.

I will be spending some time in practice mode trying to learn some moves. A few pointers in this thread have helped me too.

That's funny dude... as I can care less about discussion board ratings, don't define nor benefit be at all in cyber or real life but... too bad you got lost in your own discussion(s) to even realize that I myself along with a few others already... offered friendly advice for something that's not even an issue PERIOD!

NEVER has been. You... just need to step your game up sport.

It's totally cool if your use to playing Live or new to video game basketball.

Ever since the release of NBA 2K11 I've had to lower the dunk slider to 46 and dunk in traffic to 48 for myself and the A.I. and I still average between 4 to 8 dunks a game including an occasional standing under the bucket, in traffic put back dunk.

So... if anyone is having an issue dunking tweak your sliders or work on your game. This is in no way a game issue but a user issue. No need to be hatin' either... especially over comments related to a video game.
Where they DO that? ? ?

If this is your help, thanks but this IS an issue, read some of the other people's quotes in the thread and you will see that other's have a problem dunking too!I do play the other basketball game but that had nothing to do with this thread. I see you always need to get your point in so I expect to see your comment when I get home from work!

I don't know why you guys feel the need to get on this guy for just asking a question. Hell I'm also having problems dunking. I went on here just to see if anyone else had this problem and I saw this thread. . I just can't dunk during games. I even went back and put in 2k10 to see what I did different but of course now that game doesn't work. It freezes during the title menu. Everytime I go for a dunk he lays it up. Ok u don't have this problem but don't bash my man cause he does

Yeah if you don't have a problem, or anything positive to contribute, stay out of the thread please. Honestly, there's no need to bait.

Yeah same here, practice I do fine, but that's with already established NBA'ers not my palyer. I'm going to continue to work on my dunk ratings and if they're maxed out and I still see an issue than I'll look into sliders or whatev. But until then I can't wait to get my first slamajamma in an actuall game. zoom!

For My Player, your dunking might depend on your player preset. For instance, my player preset was "slasher" I believe, so I began with a high default dunk rating than say, someone with the prefix "3pt. specialist".

I think my guy is rebounder. Apparently that preset thing works as I'm avergaing just over 12 boards a game through my first 12.
