    NBA 2K help

I have been playing NBA 2K11 nonstop and I decided to go back in time and play NBA 2K8 - so now I play both games. I am a big Nets fan and I wanted to play as Carter & The Kidd and have the other selection of away jerseys. Both games are different, so it definately wont be boring But---- 2K8 has a totally different feel, but just because it has a different feel doesn't mean it isn't a good game. I am horrible at defense in 2K8, but I am decent in 2K11 - mainly in the post area, I just have a hard time bumping and pressing.

    Any help would be appreciated!

(also bought NBA The Inside 09, but the disc isn't working. I might get NBA 2K9 also but I just wanted to play The Inside for its franchise mode that looks sweet.)

I put both CPU and User Collision Sensivity slider to 100 and boosted user Defensive Awareness to 60. I am currently playing on Rookie, but want to play a few games to get used to the atmosphere. It is so much different to 2K11.
