How come the commentary this year isn't as unique as it's been in the past?

I agree 2k10 seemed to have better presentation; i don't really get too annoyed when I go back in play that game.

No way 2k10 has better presentation. 2k11 has some less than perfect aspects, but it is better than 2k10 in every single way.

If I was a developer and I read this I'd be floored.

There is no comparison. NONE. 2k10 did NOT have better presentation.

The Sprite Spark line is pretty funny, but I can't think of too many other commentary issues beyond that. I mean, I know they exist but I guess it's a good thing they don't come to mind right away (aside from a minor glitch referring to Greg Monroe as "Malone" every now and again).

i swear ive played this game so much, but ive forgotten half the things that they say coz usually im commentating in my own head anyway lol

Was just thinking about that yesterday. I guess the good thing is that I'm still playing this game with the announcers on. I'd turned the announcers off a long time ago in 2K10.

I do that sometimes. Sometimes it starts becoming me actually talking. And then I hope nobody is around...

Don't get me wrong, I'm in love with most of 2K11's presentation, this was just one little thing.

It's funny because I can't stand the commentator and analyst in this game now. I'm fed up with the Danny Granger suffering for a foot injury, the Pacers ending with a 32-50 and the fact that we need younger players to improve while getting help at PG.

It's normal, I mean, look at this like it's a game and you can't have like 200 hours of comments on each team so you don't hear them twice in a while. I think 2K did a great job with having comments on things going on in the season, but the fact that they repeat themselves every game has giving me no other option than turning it off.

And, to be honest, it's not different in real life. How many times people watching Seahawks-Saints have heard Tom Hammonds and the guy with him, they said it was fun seeing two veterans QB going at it at least a half a dozen time. ;-)

Haha, yeah I've done that a few times before. Although I find myself doing that more with Madden to try to block out Colinsworth and Gus Johnson than I do with NBA.

The presentation in 2k11 is leaps and bounds better than 2k10.

2k11 presentation is miles ahead of 2k10. I don't think the lame commentary every now and then the only thing presentation wise that bugs me to death is that stupid floor mop buy getting in the way all the time. I hate that guy.

Good post. I'm really tired of hearing about how much talent the Phoenix Suns have let go... especially since I'm using a classic roster and am rocking the 92-93 Suns.

I also hate hearing Richard Dumas referred to as "Dimes" and Cedric Ceballos as "Silk"... but every time I see one throw down a slam, I get over it. Really quickly.
