Wow and guys are going to tell us how long they've been Knick fans, huh? 99% of these Knick fans, especially on the internet, will be bandwagon fans. Their is no such thing as not rooting for your favorite team because they 'suck'. You win with them and you lose with them. I despise bandwagon fans. Worst thing in sports next to gambling refs and the BCS Bowl system.

I've been a die hard fan of the Knicks since Bernard King came in 1982. In 1985 when Patrick Ewing came on the scene I loved watching their games. I've been to a couple of games in MSG from the time range of '88-today. I have a framed Patrick Ewing no. 33 signed jersey from him in my room and treasure it. In 1994 I thought we had every piece of the puzzle but we didn't. Same story with San Antonio. I'm the new Spike Lee

Naw I'm just kidding lol. I've only started following basketball at the end of last season. I live in Ireland, so there's not much NBA fans around here. Anyway, even when I was a child, the Knicks were one of the first teams I knew. Since I became a fan of the NBA, they've been my second favourite team. Just behind the Celtics.

i posted earlier about how ive rooted for the knicks at times and just given up at other periods... im also a mets fan who no matter the circumstances will NEVER EVER EVER root for the yankees (and im a new yorker from uptown people lol) because i dont care how much the mets lose i guess that makes me a die-hard mets fan right? so why is it that i almost never watch their games or use them in video games? because they suck lol.. now im a new yorker but i havent watched an entire knicks game for the last 5yrs because lets face it they stunk and their wasnt an exciting player on the whole team and if you know anything about NY fans then you know we turn on anyone the second before they mess up lol (still nowhere near as bad as philly fans though lol).. but now their is a reason to watch.. as for b-ball video games i always use the knicks simply cus i like the way msg looks...

In case no one noticed, the Knicks have been selling out even when they were bad in the Isaiah days.

There are band wagon fans for every team. Some have more than others. I wouldn't say that the Knicks are high on this list by any stretch. But again, they obviously have bandwagon fans like everyone else.

I'm born and raised in NYC. Only root for NY teams. Always have and always will.

Fact. Most Chicago fans, when they had a team (Michael Jordan) didn't live in Chicago. When the franchise contracted (Michael Jordan retired) you could hear a pin drop in the state of Illinois lol.

I don't think a Bulls fan is in any position to talk about bandwagon fans.

I didnt like the Knicks until T-MaC. Started playing now that he's gone i like detroit.Somewhat of a Fav.Player.Bandwagoner.

But my Fav.Team would have to be GoldenState and OKC

Agreed. Bandwagon fans are fine, who really cares if you follow a few select players, doesn't matter too much. Only problem I have is people who abuse them online and are not a fan of the team and are just using the team to win, which kinda takes the fun out of the game. In the end, it doesn't really matter to me as I don't play online.

I stopped reading there ... made me want to burst out in laughter.


I hope that for the love of God you are not a resident of California band wagoning Miami, understand that you are not a fan ... you are a front runner.

The bottom line is Bulls fans are big time front runners and you probably are too. You probably don't even live in Illinois and it wouldn't shock me if you have never even been to the state once. Calm down.

Im actually happy that there are more Knicks opponents online. Its shame I only played against them once with the opening day Roster. At least I wont have to deal w/ Miami/LA.

i'm a Lebron bandwagon fan. Growing up in NJ i liked the Nets because Drazen Petrovic was my favorite player but after he died Jordan was my favorite so i rooted for the Bulls. When he retired the 2nd time i kinda lost interest in the NBA for a little bit and then when Lebron entered the NBA (he's the same age as me so i knew about him since his Soph year of HS) i was a fan of his from the beginning so i liked seeing the Cavs do well and now that he's in Miami i root for the Heat.

I wouldnt call myself a Heat fan but i'd like to see them win because i think Lebron is hands down the best player and i want him to get his rings so people can stop talking about him never winning one. So really i dont have a favorite NBA team and quite frankly i'm ok with that because its more about the individual stars than teams in the NBA.

Problem with the NBA is they market individuals not teams so its very easy to just follow stars instead of following teams. Its more of a star driven league than football and baseball so when i root for one team over another its usually because i like a guy on the one team or dislike a guy on the other. I'll root for anyone over the Lakers because i'm not a Kobe fan but I like seeing the Spurs do well because i like Duncan.

You dont need to root for a team just because you live in that state or area. I'm a Yankees and Patriots fan, 2 rival cities. My family is all Giants fans as was I as a little kid and Dave Meggett was my favorite player, when he got traded to the Pats i became a Pats fan and have been ever since. Meggett was the reasons i became a Pats fan. I was a young kid when it happened and the Pats werent in Super Bowls yet so it wasn't because of winning, it was because they had my favorite player then i decided that was it and the Pats were gonna be my team for the rest of my life. Once you hit around age 10, i think by that time who you root for you should stick with because by that time you've had enough time to see and experience different teams and players and figure which direction you want to go.
