Re: which players always light you up
For some weird & Strange reason everytime i play the bulls, D-Rose puts up benchwarmer stats & the Guy that rips me everytime for 30 or more points is LOUL DENG!! In my Assocation mode,it was Game 7 of the East Finals between my C's & the Bulls, & Deng dropped 40 on me & for my 2nd player that lights me up is MANU GINOBLI! after i eliminated the Bulls i faced the Spurs in the Finals & i think Game 6 or 7 I played & Ginobli drained 13 3pointers on me!! I was pissed beyond belief, Ginobli is good but 13 Threes!? you kiddin me. at least 8 of those i had blocked & the ball still went right thru my hands & thru the net.Comment

Re: which players always light you up
Luol Deng-He makes at least 90% of his shots
Kevin Martin-His one handed dunks annoy me, and he puts up 24-28 a game
Kevin Durant-He simply lights it up at will, draws fouls, converts and 1s, hits 3s, drives, dunks, hits mid range jumpers. There's no answer for him. Well I have none. In myplayer mode, it has the nerve to tell me to limit my matchup to 20 points when I play against him. Yea ok!Comment

Re: which players always light you up
1.) Rudy Guy. The guy takes it personal when I play the Grizzles. Atleast 32ppg.
2.)Loul Deng. Just runs a arch in half court offense and hits me for 30ppg.
3.)Paul Pierce. Does things that he shouldn't be doing with how stiff he looks playing. 27ppg.
4.)Kevin Durant. Does his thing but not to bad, I usually get called to guard him in My Player and I'm the PG. 26ppg.
That's my top four guys I have trouble with.My Player: Antonio Guyton 6'6 PG, drafted 1 rd. 24th pick to Atlanta Hawks.Comment

Re: which players always light you up
Luis Scola and Kevin Durant always own me, and sometimes I struggle with Joe Johnson. Other than that I can handle most of the other top players. Oh and Tim Duncan is a handful to contain too.Comment

Re: which players always light you up
Carmelo Anthony is the first player all year where I literally felt like I tried everything to no avail, and actually *mentally* gave up on trying to stop him, and just focused really hard on stopping everyone else.
Lebron to a slightly lesser extent. Just finished a Hawks season, met MIA in the Conf Finals. Lebron avg'ed 34.4 against me, but for some reason I could almost live with it, partly because Wade wasn't really aggressive (he'd get like 17 on 6-17 shooting), and Bosh would be decent, avg'ing like 16 & 9. Lebron gave me fits, almost as bad as Melo, but I felt like I could stop him when I needed to late, bringing doubles (if he kicks it out, the shooters aren't lights out) and generally backing off on the perimeter. Lebron really got his by doing what he does in real life, driving and getting and-1's, fastbreaking, a few J's here and there.... but the key point was, I could GET HIM TO MISS OFTEN.
(FWIW I play 11min qtrs, SS diff. w/Simulation rules)
But NOT MELO. Met DEN in the Finals, and they took me to Game 7. I lost. Reloaded my save. Lost AGAIN. Reloaded my save. Melo got hurt in the 2nd qtr (already with like 21 pts SMH) and didn't return to action. I almost thanked the game. Melo avg'ed (even with the injury) 38.7 ppg
Melo do it in every way. Post up fades, post up hop steps into the lane for strong finishes. Drives from the perimeter. Threes off screens, threes off the dribble. I bring the double in the post, he fades or hops into the lane. I play zone he finds space and rains J's/3's on me. I double on the perimeter, he gives it away and runs off screens, either a catch and shoot, or catch and immediate attack the rim.
He does NOT MISS, most times even with a hand in his face, his stepbacks/stepback spins are darn near a cheat move with how much space he creates and his quick release, his "contested" shot release gives him ridiculous elevation, simply put he is a threat at all times.
After a fadeaway or and-1, the way he just straightens up and walks lazily downcourt or backpedals backwards slowly, it was almost as if he was saying "is that all you got?" Yo it's the only time I cursed the TV in this game lolLast edited by HOLLIDAY1183; 03-12-2011, 01:08 AM.NOW PLAYING:

Re: which players always light you up
With the Cavs, I usually have a 5-10 OVR mismatch at SF and / or SG, so whomever is in that / those spots is a nightmare...
The one that really stands out though is Bobcat's Steven Jackson...
Prob my imagination but:
I'm convinced he / they got the "box treatment"...
As in:
Jordan is on the box, so the Bobcats (and esp. Jackson) seem to play waaaaay above their ratings...
