What you will find is that most Chicagoians will either severely overate or underrate their teams players. I happen to be the second type of Chicagoian as is the guy who doesn't like Rose. I can't name a single guy on the Sox (who I am a fan of) that I would consider one of the best in the league (probably because they don't have anyone that good). But most Cubs fans would name Ramirez, Castro, Pena... the list goes on.

you're either an idiot or someone who doesn't talk to many cubs fans. No one would name Ramirez, Castro or Pena as the best at anything. The reason you can't say the White Sox have any players that are the best at anything is because you really have no one the best at anything, unless maybe Adam Dunn if you are counting strikeouts. so its not cause your modest lol. and any chicagoian hating on rose needs to slap themselves.

Wow I stopped watching NBA around when Kobe and Shaq were team mates. I hated both of them and glad to hear Kobe is still a cocky bball player. I don't think I missed out much in this league then.

Cubs fans are already calling Castro one of the best SS in the league because he had a fast start and you kinda just showed that you're one of the Chicago homers (for the Cubs I'm guessing) by calling out Adam Dunn for strikeouts while completely ignoring that you have Carlos Pena LOL.

D- Rose: I live in the Chicago area and I watch almost all Bulls game, and I have to say he is good but VERY overrated. What makes me soo annoyed is that D-Wade played better than him in 08- 09 season and he didn't get this much recognition.

My thoughts exactly.. the media act's like he's some kind of player we've never seen before, somebody who can get to the rim unlike anyone in the history of basketball when in reality, D Wade like you mentioned in the 08-09 season was better than D Rose now, but didn't get all the media attention. Allen Iverson in his prime was better than D Rose is now aswell, so I don't know where the whole media bullcrap about D Rose being the only person to get to the rim so well comes from.

Anyway, as for the guys I won't have on my team:

Glen Davis(the flop master)
Chris Bosh, the dude is a whiner, occasional flopper, fake-tough guy (it's been said before) who just all around sucks.
Joakim Noah, think's he's better than he is
Carlos Boozer, he's soft.. just like Chris Bosh
Tyler Hansbrough, he was good at UNC, but he's too soft to play PF in the NBA.. man up, dude!

agreed... D rose might not be the greatest but he's everything a Chicago player is and should be.

I don't think I missed out much in this league then.

You really haven't. It seems all my favorite players are past their prime now and are mostly getting replaced by cocky players such as the many that have been listed here already. Tim Duncan, Steve Nash, Jason Kidd...they're all on their way out in a couple of years if not less. Chris Paul is the next best PG in my opinion...not necessarily skill wise, but attitude wise. I don't really like the others.

I'm actually looking at some of the new players and hoping they'll become the next Stockton, or the next Tim Duncan...please not the next Michael Jordan. I didn't like him at all either. Who doesn't like a player like Nash? Skilled and a great attitude. That's the way to be, and that's becoming a bit rare in the league.

It seems too many players are in it for themselves until they're past their prime, then they're jumping ship to the best team in order to just win a championship and call it good. That's the NBA for the past 5 years in my opinion...maybe even the past 10 years? Man, how time flies.

yeah we have pena for one year, just a stop gap till next year. How much money you guys paying dunn to not field and just k? no actual cubs fans are saying castro is the best SS. He is one of the better up and coming SS in the league but no one is saying hes the best. And pena K's alot, but no where near the amount of Dunn who has led the league in ks like 5 times. and averages 182 ks per season Stupid sox fans.

Trust me, there are lots of Cubs fans who think Castro is already one of the best in the league. You can say they're not "actual cubs fans", but if you're only counting fans who are actually knowledgeable about baseball you have about 1/10 of your fan base left lol. I'm also sure you didn't actually look up Pena's stats, cuz if you looked you'd see that he actually does SO at a rate similar to Dunn's. And although Dunn gets a massive amount of K's like Pena, his other numbers more than make up for it.
