We're trying to get this message across at 2k, the more exposure and discussion on this the better. Our online association based league is ruined by this. We run a progressive salary cap league that mimics the real NBA as much as possible. GM's release and sign players within salary cap just like real life. Injured players are only replaced either by players within your roster or by releasing a player and paying a cap penalty (ie cap hold) and signing an available free agent.

We started our league in this fashion in order to get away from "set and forget" leagues. We run our league for the enjoyment of managing our team as such as well as playing our games.

Now it's all ruined simply because some leagues stacked their teams. What garbage.

The Free Agent Script tab was a part of the admin menu in the league websites until midway through 2k10. 2k then removed the actual tab (from memory for the same reason it's been removed altogether now) but the url remained active, so we were still able to use the process. This has killed our league.

What a waste!

Exactly. For those of us who are in leagues who try to make our own make shift version of an online association (since that's not there EITHER...but I wont get started on that one) this kills everything we are trying to do.

It's really affected a number of leagues I'm in and it would be nice if we could at least get some answers about it other than "people were exploiting it so we took it away".

I don't want answers or excuses, I just want it back. It's ruined my league. If anything, I've had more issues with servers since it got taken away then I did when it was there, so that says a lot about that.

Surely some of the 2k guys still hang around here?!

Maybe I'm not understanding you but I just looked at a league that has played games the last 3 nights and all have stats.

I figured it out, all the leagues created since the server downtime haven't autosynced the stats or standings.

I had to go through and use the admin sync function on EACH team to get anything to show up.

If you search for a league that was created May 12 or 13, the only stats that show up are box scores, the individual player cards, team stats, standings, and league leaders aren't registered unless someone manually syncs them.

I think it would be good to bring it back, even if it needs to be modified to stop causing server or league issues. It's the only way of running an online franchise atm since 2K hasn't seen fit to include an online franchise mode.
