Your crazy. LeBron is not overrated, you just don't know how to use him or use Kevin Durant. Anyone who plays 2k and really knows what's going on knows that Kevin Durant has to shoot step back jumpshots and jumpshots off screens. THAT'S IT! You can't go to the hole with him, and you can't post him up. Just like in real life. He does hit threes to for the most part but he's gotta be open or in transition or he will miss. He goes cold quick and he needs a lot of shots.. Lebron however can do everything for the most part and with threes hes gotta be open or in a shooting groove or he'll miss. Just take control of the person guarding him and make him miss.. UGH! I hate when people don't know how to play this game. Just watch the player in real life and then do the same thing on 2k.

Lebron is a streaky shooter, it's not that he is a good jump shooter although he is decent at it...he is just one of those players that if hot he will hit his shots all day, but when he is off he can't bring himself back out of a slump. His game really is based off driving to the basket and getting to the line, if he is turned into a jump shooter he is more than likely going to struggle unless he gets hot (this is my take on what I seen when Lebron plays). I think he is around a 93 not no 95+ truthfully no player in the nba is a 95+

This is probably one of the dumbest statements I've read in awhile... It reminds me of the guy that called the Jim Rome show and said Cal Ripken was overrated, and all he did was play alot of games in a row haha...

As much as I hate LeBron, now that he bailed on my team and city, I'm not going to come on here and say he is overrated...

He is the most COMPLETE player in the game today... He can score, handle the ball, shoot, pass, play defense and rebound...

Back-to-Back MVPs and all the accolades can't be wrong...

I'm not sure what he's ever done in his career that would make you think he is not the best player in basketball... Tell me 1 player that you would start your franchise with other than LeBron? And I'll tell you what LeBron does better than that guy...

Exactly... As far as his passing goes Lebron is one of the best passers in the league regardless of position. Since his sophmore season Lebron has finished in the top 10 in assists per game.

My final take on this thread is that I think LeBron is over rated in passing and consistency. I think his passing should be around an 84 and his consistency should probably be around an 87. Maybe drop his 3 pointer by a point or 2.

My calculations give him a 57 in passing if you scale him with the entire league. Didn't think it would be THAT low.

I'm simply making the person that's best at that stat the limit(99)

I'm also using multiple stats to determine the rating.

First is assists per 40. Steve Nash is at the top with 13.7, and Lebron averages 7.2.

Then I use assist rate. Jason Kidd is at the top with 80.98, Lebron averages 26.90.

Then I use Assist to turnover ratio. Chris Paul is at the top with 4.42, Lebron's assist to turnover ratio is 1.95.

I divide the sum by three and add 25 and the rating I got was 57.

To the OP...Are you suggesting that he's an overrated "shooter" or that his overall rating should be lowered? I can agree that his perimeter shot making could be lowered SLIGHTLY, but if you're saying that he's overrated as a player...I would like some of what you are smoking please sir. :-)

Your calculations would be wrong then since the passing rating has a huge effect on assists in association as well. Somebody with 57 passing would average about 2 assists a game in association..

I think you guys are misunderstanding me. I'm not saying he's a bad passer, I'm just saying a 90 is too high for him. I think everyone in this game is over rated so it's not a knock on LeBron either. My point was that PERFECTION is a 99, LeBron's not 9 points away from being either THE best or equal to the best passer's of all time.
