23, I know you've got to be pretty amped about the prospects of NBA 2K12. I don't think I've ever been this excited about a cover announcement, lol.

Just a quick edit, I noticed SimBaller clarified and explained it will be the '02 Kings, not the '01.

if 2k was smart about it they would make seprate game with the great reaction of NBA 2k11 jordan mode it is going to grow even more and with this expanistion by the looks of in NBA 2k12 . if they would come up with a game of only classic teams or game based on classic players. Like jordan mode with magic mode, bird mode or something to that effect. But they have to do it right which mean's the right retro arena by season's back borad stands warm ups and even shoes based on era. Call it NBA 2k Classic might have to charge little more because of player lic's deals but would be worth to large group of people.

The idea sounds awesome, but I'd prefer they try to fit everything on a single disc. I like having all sorts of options at my disposal and I may frown upon having to choose between spending sixty dollars on a current 2K and sixty more on a classic 2K.

Reggie Miller vs. The New York Knicks anyone?

(sidenote: 95 Playoffs Patrick Ewing has a -1 layup rating)

Even though I want ALL of these classic teams like the rest of you guys, i'm sure 2k will save some for future releases lol. But for this year, we at least need the 95 magic and 98 Knicks.

I think the inclusion of the 1990-91 Warriors (and Magic Johnson) leads one to think that there might be a great possibility of a 1991 Western Conference 1st Round Challenge, or most probably the famous Game 2 shootout between Chris Mullin (who had an amazing 41 points, 16 of 21 shooting, 4 of 4 from downtown, 5 assists) and Magic Johnson.
Only respectable people deserve respect, you destroyed the game.

LOL!!! low blow...i agree with the 99 spurs tho. dominant teams from that era should absolutely be in. and with the memory avail on the discs, shouldn't they be able to put classics and contemporaries on the same disc?

can't wait to see "Dream", kenny and a in-their-prime Horry and Cassell.

Why do we "need" the 95 magic and 98 Knicks? The 95 Magic were swept by Chicago in the ECF and the 98 Knicks managed to get to the Finals during a lockout season. It'd be much better to have the 94 or 95 Knicks and the 94-95 Pacers because of the rivalry.

If you mean the 94 Magic then, of course it would be fun to lpay with Penny and young shaq, but all they did was get swept in the finals against the Rockets.

That's not a good idea. It's kind of like how Netflix just split their two services, but unlike Netflix lowering its cost for each, you think 2K should increase the price for the retro teams. That doesn't work out for the consumer or the developer. And you said if 2K was "smart about it," which implies you think they're not being smart about it.

It's better to have the entire product all in one for several reasons, one being that you can play current teams/players against past greats. I'd be willing to purchase DLC of more classic teams and Player Challenges if 2K went that route, but I sure as heck wouldn't want to pay $120+ for the separate games.

Actually the 1995 Magic were swept by the Rockets in the Finals (and swept in the conference finals the next year by the Bulls), and the team who reached the Finals vs The Spurs were the 1999 Knicks. 1998 was Chicago and Utah
