Yeah, i wish they did that like real life rondo doing fake pass layupChicago Bulls 1996
Dallas Mavericks 2011
Boston Celtics 1986

What 2k needs more than anything is pressure sensitive passing like Madden. Tap for lob, hold for bullet. Lob pass over the defender fronting their man. Quick bullet pass before the defense is in position.Comment

Live ball physics, improved physics engine, and Y button to back down is all I needed to hear. It's like they saw what Elite was TRYING to do and now they are actually going to do it. Can't wait to get my hands on this years game just because of these gameplay additions alone!Last edited by Jano; 07-22-2011, 01:18 PM.Comment

My most anticipated game of the year, and that is saying something.
NBA 2k11 still gets a ton of play from me. Only sports game to have done that.Comment

I stopped reading when the reviewer said "Given my brief experience with NBA 2K11 going in, I was surprised by how quickly I was able to notice some of the gameplay changes made in NBA 2K12". Lets get guys like Da Czar do a review..His statement is like Travis Tritt telling me the state of Hip Hop. Ill wait till someone that knows alot about the 2k series and has played it ALOT reviews it...chuckcross.bandcamp.com

I love the news about a new physics engine and live ball physics. Gameplay should be more dynamic now.Comment

I'm glad to see that two of my biggest issues with 2K11 is seemingly addressed with 2K12: lack of contact physics and lack of ball tangibility. I hope my third biggest issue, on-ball defense, is getting addressed as well. And for the record, I have no problem playing on-ball defense in 2K11. I just feel that it's not implemented properly. Few things i would like to be addressed.. Gameplay flaws and Online.. Post spin dunk n spin dunk off the fastbreak has to be eliminated. The hopstep then pumpfake a million times till a foul happens has to go. The power dunk where u manually cut a player like Gerald Wallace n then dunks on your whole team has to go. When u catch the ball n ur player is frozen for a few seconds has to go. When u catch a pass n u fall to thr ground for a turnover has to go.
Online.. Saved Playbooks.. Show opponent records for rank Games.. HOF Rank Lobbies.. Make it like 2k8 for online have a community.. It was fun when we go into a rank lobby n u can chat inside to get a gm or who has next.. Bring that back.. Make weekly or monthly tournaments for prizes.. Make online fun again DAM..Comment

^^^ Yeah, 2K8 was the last NBA 2K that I played online consistently. Everything just worked well in that particular game online. To me, I felt I won the games I should have won and lost the games I should have lost. Too many times in 2K11 I've lost games that I know I've should have won because of faulty game mechanics which rewarded less skilled users who played recklessly.According to my old marketing professor, satisfaction is when product performance meets or exceeds consumer expectation.Comment

Re: NBA 2K12 Hands-On Preview - Post Game Tweaks, New Physics Engine (Destructoid)
love the info!
all i need now is to hear about:
1) how shooting with the buttons isn't higher percentage this year (shot-stick is the future, PLEASE dont punish us for using it)
2) how defenses will make players pay for pump faking by stealing the ball and poking it away (way overdue)
3) more deflections out of bounds and less steals (made the game sloppy)
4) blocking fouls (non-shooting) on the perimeter when D. Howard tries to keep up with CP3.
5) more intuitive shot stick (pushing toward the basket should always have a player continue his momentum to the hoop, away from the basket should result in jumpshots/fall-aways...if i'm called for a charge. SO BE IT.)
6) contextual moves to back defenders up for open jump-shots (jabsteps and iso-dribbles anyone?)
7) auto-defense (clicking R3 should have the cpu control your defender until you get the defensive rebound)
8) ONLINE!Last edited by SIMstyle; 07-22-2011, 10:52 AM.Comment
