Who else thinks the Double Team should come faster?

To me it seems like the user double-team is a bit watered-down. Ever seen the CPU double down? Its fast, strong and if you don't make an instant decision it results in a turnover or low percentage shot.

Users shouldn't get double-team LITE. I can understand not wanting to go back to the days of 2K6 when online was a double-team fest because it was overpowered, but gameplay is balanced now. we need it for online play and for Association games as well.

Its frustrating for NBA-level players to be unable to double with speed and effectiveness. leaving us too vulnerable to good post players in particular, or elite players in general.

to hold L1 seems unnecessary as well. one button press to double with the closest defender and another to negate it. simple.

hmmm...pretty sure its L1 on ps3. whats the corresponding command for xbox?

I can only get a double team for about 10% of the times I try.

When I press LB the help comes but the player stays going around the ball handler instead of double teaming him.

I think the system is broken

I think the double-teaming system overall needs work. Like kingg d said, when you call for a double team, the other player just walks to the ballhandler like a zombie and then stands next to him.

Its frustrating when I face a Yao cheeser. I call a double team every time he touches the ball, but it only comes half the time. Even then, like you guys said, the help defense isn't very helpful.

I also think the "Set to double team" option doesn't work. I will set Yao to be double teamed every time he catches the ball, but 90% of the time I have to call it myself because nothing happens.

The system needs improvement!

I hate when I double team a player as soon as he gets the ball but it hesitates for his teammate to get in a good position for the pass to get a open shot.

What gets me is I will double team a player and they turn right into it and pull up and hit a jumper. This happens mostly when the cpu is making a run.

I will play somebody online and they will only use one person to score, so I double always and the game always hesitate to do so. It seems like it waits until the player is near the paint before it doubles if it doubles at all.

I have no trouble with double teams.

Just press L1 then press whoever you want to come over's corresponding button.

Double teaming when playing on ball d is useless. Just control the guy you want to come double and when you are near the offensive player, hold LB. It will trigger the strong double team animation.

I wouldn't say it's broken. But if someone press double-team against me. I'm not in a hurry to get rid of the ball like I'm suppose to in really life. I love how you can call anyone to double team. It just how the double team can connect at times. I thought 2k10 double team was exactly what most people expected. But this year it does take a lot away from traps and other stuff like that. These kind traps are part of NBA basketball.

This happens to me most of the time. It's especially annoying when you're playing with friends who are destroying you with one player because they don't pass. You just want to force them to pass by bringing over another defender, and he just stands there for a second, and then walks away.

In the first 6 seconds of the video, when Bosh has the ball and makes his move into the paint watch how the defense collapses. There are 3 guys in the area making it tough for him to move or get close to the paint, this is how the game should play...
