NEVER and I mean NEVER let them call the Hornets the Charlotte Hornets again. Been in New Orleans for nearly 10 years and still people can't get that out their heads?

I'm SO friggin' sick of that. I mute the game whenever I hear that line of commentary start. Bad enough I have to put up with it from ESPN at times...but not in my favorite sports game too

I think it repetitiveness that is the real problem, not the "quality" of the commentary. When the last time you watched any sporting event and thought hey these guys are really funny and insightful?

That's the answer, it is not the commentary that needs to be erased (well maybe some lines that date back to 2007) but the large amount of repetitiveness of it. In theory the only lines that have the license for being repetitive like in real life are the commentators trademarks.

For example, Marv Albert: "YES!" "YES and it counts!" "YES and the foul" "What a move by xxxx", and maybe two or three I'm forgetting. Those should be his only "Repeat Lines". The rest should be all different.

The repeat lines problems, should be easy. The rest is more difficult and I reckon that.

One thing that is important for me is that commentator should react to the gameplay, and not narrate it as it happens in the same exact moment.

2k's commentary is great IMO.

There are going to be quirky/repeated lines here and there....so that doesnt bother me..

Just stop announcing what defense im playing! Clark will literally wait until all other dialouge is completed and still go out of his way to announce im "solidifying the middle"

Lol yes. It's terrible that my 5 year old cousin is watching me play and saying all the commentary lines along with the guys

The guy who does the halftime show purposely ignores the accomplishments of your created player in favor of the established names on the team.

I could have 20 & 10 at half and this guy will still talk about Kobe regardless.

I hate the "They've missed 4 of their first 5 shots" line. The fact that it's even in the game (and the only one of its kind) just reminds me that I'm probably in the midst of being the victim of 2K's ridiculous automated momentum


Words can't express how much I hate the fact that they call out your defense. Most of the time, I switch to one I don't want to use, then hurry up and turn on the one I do want. That way, Clark Kellogg ends up saying the wrong line


"Instead of calling him Shaneneh or Pookie or Spooky, how about we just call him Glen"


the "He can be a little wayward" Ron Artest line.


"He hung on the rim a little there. Guys don't like it when you do that"

i wish. gimme that instead of "WOOOO HOOOO!! now THAT was a dunk"

or gimme "right between the eyes" instead of "now that's what i call confidence & attitude. he knocked down that fastbreak triple right in the defender's face"

kevin harlan needs to handle the exciting calls instead of letting clark kellogg botch them all. it doesn't even feel like it's really kevin harlan in the game.

Every verse, where they name the type of play your calling, this sucks when your playing online or against a friend. And the commentators are calling your play styles...

Get rid of the that's a false prophecy line...it's stupid and never fits the situation.

Yes playing someone head to head sucks when the AI announces the second I change to a zone defense. It's like well...

Dont you guys think it'll be a good idea to let them watch a live game, and have them comment on it while recording. Of cource it wont amount to all the lines but it'll get some fluid commentary hopefully.

Don't remember the exact words, but I hate it when they say Dwight Howard is not a very good dunker. Also, when they say "Player A" is struggling and has 0 pts in the quarter, well Kobe had 16 pts in that quarter alone..

often comes in spurts, spurtabilty is what I call it and the coach is clealy fuming and the players looking like they are sleep walking. Occurs too much. I hope 2k12 theres so much more commentary added that they keep talking for the whole game lol.

This...towards the end of the 3rd I know the cpu will go on a ridiculous run then I have to hear the "sprite spark of the game".... almost broke a controller over that crap.
