2K, watch and take notes. That's the way it should be...

They need to change Penny's face. He didn't look 40 in '95.

      He looked like this:

i agree what you guys say about accessories i understand gameplay is supoosed to spot on but so should accessories. not only should it play like the nba but it should look like the nba. if they haven't fixed knee sleeves to the versions d wade and rose wear i'll just wait on the pc version. the sock over calf sleeve thing i don't really use it but it would give more incentive to use them

oh yea as for the colors 2k doesn't use the right colors. i was messing around trying to make a crew and i was curious about the bulls color and its just a darker pink not even close to red. 2k either needs to get the colors right or let us edit them and upload them to 2k share.

Spurs jersey is slightly incorrect, it should have solid white blocking/numbering with grey trim for the road jersey and solid black blocking/numbering with grey trim for the home jersey. The black lining was added later on to the jersey in 2003, I believe.

          In-game 1998 Road

Side-note: Have to give y'all props over a V.C. for correcting the Spurs jersey color. It was a faded black or "off-black" color, but now it's back to being jet black. Thanks from a long time fan and even longer Spurs Nation member.

          Example:

          1998 Home

          1998 Road

From the screenshot I've seen Vinny Del Negro looks horrible, but here is an example of how he should more so look with the Spurs in '98:

Lastly, Antoine Carr needs to have his visor with the Utah Jazz of '98. He didn't make the cut last season and wouldn't look right without them.

You know, I have wondered for years what was different about San Antonio's jerseys since 2003. I always knew something had changed. I just never knew what exactly. Thanks for the knowledge.

You are right. Thanks for those! As for Vinny D. When I saw that 2K screenshot, it seemed to me that he had Perdue's face (which was not that good also) from last year, only that with black hair.

As for Carr. I really hope that too and that his Hawks version has hair and no visor goggles.

Re: Attention to Detail in NBA's Greatest Mode

Visuals are important, but some gameplay factors are as well. Off the top of my head

Scottie Pippen needs to have the ability to initiate the offense from the SF position. He was one of, if not the first, "point-forwards".

Michael Jordan needs to have the same abilty, but from the SG position.

Kareem Abdul-Jabbar (Lew Alcindor) should be able to sky hook from anywhere on the floor. His post fade animation should be a skyhook (not a fadeaway jumper)

You can do that in 2k11

Re: Attention to Detail in NBA's Greatest Mode

I just want to thank everyone who contributed and supported this thread. Hopefully 2K has taken notes and will deliver even bigger. We are now approaching the point were things are being closed regarding NBA 2K12, and hence no drastic changes can be one, only things that can be edited with ease like stats, tendencies, team plays, faces, uniforms etc.

I'm quite happy with the result of this effort and hopefully like last year, they team from 2K will be able to incorporate many of them into "The Greatest Mode".

You have a point, everyone know it can be done in 2K11, but I see your point in having these traits as default. The Bulls playbook for Pippen should have many plays were he initiates the offense right from the inbound pass after an opponents basket, same with MJ (1989 especially and 1991 in a minor degree).

Also this thread is not only about visuals or accessories as many think it is, it's also about realism, team and player signatures, traits, play styles etc.

From the previews I have read, I think the Kokatu one confirms the Go to Skyhook for Kareem.

                          How?

Im not talking about giving them PG plays from the playbook for putting them at PG. Im referring to the ball being inbounded to them after a made basket/timeout/possession change etc.

Play with the miami heat and this happens with lebron often, even when a play isnt designed for him to initiate

It can be done via playbook to some degree, but not quite like Lebron does for the Heat, not straight from the inbound pass anyway.

I agree Pippen should have this too.

I is a must have IMO, just as the 80's and 90's Lakers accessories being blue instead of purple.
