That was ok .. seems like a 2k11 with updated elbow pads ... One thing that bugs me is that shoelaces are Team Colors .. not like in real life where they are just black and white. <--- Thats a very little thing .. don't read into it to much.
I was excited to see this.. but really that was not that exciting .. animations look the same... At least in that trailer. I saw a new Ally-oop and I think one different dunk other wise MEH. Ronnie over hyped this like he is doing the job that he is paid for. 5/10 for this.Comment

I clearly referred to the "color of shoelaces" post which was NOT your post if I'm not mistaken.Comment

Re: NBA 2K12 - Momentous Trailer
I honestly have no idea how VC does coloring. I don't think it's what you're thinking. What I DO know is that defining colors in a game is NOT a simple task and many things can impact the final color you see on the screen. So no matter how much work you put into it, every color will not be exactly as you want it. Again - color is important - but lets not get crazy over the color of shoelaces (which started this and was, again, a false statement).Comment

Re: NBA 2K12 - Momentous Trailer
Wow. We're harping on colors after someone claims shoelace colors were always only "black or white" which is wrong. But anyway. You have no idea if your TV or the monitors used by the devs are off. It's EASY to be slightly off with colors guys. Give it a rest. Every color for every items in any game will never be exact. For all you know, your monitor you're watching the video on is off. Or the capture was off. It doesn't take much.
Instead of focusing on the work Mo put into making this video, you guys are trailing off into colors. Really?
The video is fantastic-- but some of us do care about the team we're playing with for the next year.
Edit: The away jerseys look fine. The home jersey looks the same wrong color as last year. I'm not sure, but the yellow on the home court still looks the same neon green yellow as before.Last edited by Sundown; 08-31-2011, 04:25 PM.Comment

Re: NBA 2K12 - Momentous Trailer
OK, first unless that's from the GSW style guide, THAT can be off. Second, how does that look in indoor lighting? Outdoor lighting? Third, what effects did Mo use in capturing some of these scenes. Are the black and white shot of Russell to your liking? You tell me; are you SURE that all of the post processing on the color that happens between the art, to the game, to the monitors, into the video, etc... And you STILL expect the colors to look exactly the hue you expect? Come on!Comment

Lighting, angle, post-processing of photos, camera, it all makes a difference.

The Warriors' colors aren't just a little off-- they're quite a bit off. How would you feel about your team's primary colors being 3 noticeable shades off (both uniform and court) for two years since they got their new uniforms? It's the equivalent of the Bulls looking dark pink, the Lakers being red-magenta, or the Celtics being lime green.

Re: NBA 2K12 - Momentous Trailer
Wow, that trailer was crazy! The game looks even smoother and saw a bunch of new animations in the game. I will tell you what, with that new fastbreak animation when the player is sprinting and pushing the ball upcourt players like Magic,Lebron,Rondo, etc will be deadly in the open court this year. NBA2K12 is shaping up very well.Comment
