Re: NBA 2K12 - Momentous Trailer
the shamgod snatch dribble really does look awesome but from the looks of it, it seems to look like a sig gather...so u more than likely have to go into a jumpshot after performing it...i just hop im wrong and u can chain moves to it not killing your dribbleComment

Re: NBA 2K12 - Momentous Trailer
My favorite part of that video was the vintage Celtics-Hawks footage in which Bird drives for a layup and then kicks it out for 3-pointer (ironically, it starts at 33 seconds). Anyway, the quality of the footage and the camera angle makes it look super-realistic. I hope it looks that way on my TV.It's on me. I shook his hand too hard. It was a hard ... kind of a slap-shake.

Looks like a size-up followed by step back to meComment

I think you may be right, but hopefully he just did that into either a step back jumper or a step back into a normal jumper. Most players do use it to get to the bucket, but occasionally into a stepback.Comment

Looked like a sig gather to me, like Rose's at the end too.
Actually on second glance, it does look like a step back at the end of the move.[NYK|DAL|VT]

To me, it looks like a dribble, then stepping back and shooting as opposed to being a signature gather. I hope we're right, haha.Comment

Re: IGN NBA 2K12: Momentus Trailer (8/31)
Look again, it's just perspective.. anybody can look super tall compared to the basket when they're not on the same exact plane/distance from the camera.
All the heights and court sizes are perfectly mathematically correct in the game - people have done screenshots from every angle and even looked at the models and done the math.
On a similar note, the problem is that people don't realize how much lens and stuff on tv cameras change what a game looks like.. everybody who has been to a real game should know it looks nothing like TV.. and not all TV broadcasts use the same lens... players can look skinnier, fatter, the court can look deeper, etc.
The people every year talking about player size and court size not being 'right' boggle my mind - with all the detail work done on the game, you think they didn't make the court size and player height the correct number of units? I'm sure they have been correct for a decade or more.Last edited by basehead617; 08-31-2011, 09:47 PM.Comment
