In no particular order here are the all-time greatest centers that will be in 2k12

Kareem Abdul-Jabbar/Lew Alcindor
Wilt Chamberlain
Bill Russell
Hakeem Olajuwon
Shaquille O'Neal ('98)
David Robinson
Patrick Ewing
Willis Reed
Dikembe Mutombo
Moses Malone
Bill Walton(on the bench for 86 Celtics but way beyond his prime)
Robert Parish
Alonzo Mourning
Brad Daugherty
and from this era but not quite there yet Dwight Howard and he has no real competition anymore, right now.

the only other notable ones really missing are: George Mikan, Wes Unseld, and Bob Lanier.

Is Sabonis in it? If it is, only typical boorish Americans don't think he is one of the best centers of all time.

He isn't one the best centers of all time IN THE NBA. His career in Lithuania doesn't count as far as being him an NBA center. Sabonis came to the NBA when he was 31 years old, with no knees. He was a serviceable big man averaged 12pts and 7 rebounds(at 7'3") per game in the 8 years he played in America.

Excellent post, I'd love to have a Mikan era Lakers team next year, or as DLC. Different era, sure, but I'd like the challenge of taking him against modern centers. Sweetwater Clifton's Knicks would be the optimal rival for Mikan, adding another legendary big man to the roster as well.

And while he's not even close to most of those guys, we also have Vlade Divac in both Lakers and Kings form, a solid passer(and massive flopper), a guy who would fit on most NBA teams today, I'd say.

And my homerism forces me to mention Bill Cartwright, while not a top tier player at his position, he was a huge contributor to the first three-peat, and brought much needed toughness to the Bulls when they needed it most. His sharp elbows and weird jumper are the stuff of legend.

Artis Gilmore should be added somehow, he was in prior 2K games as a All 70's Legend.

It should also be great fun to hack people up with Rick Mahorn, his absence was deeply felt on 2K11's Pistons.

With classic Shaq in now, 2k12 has arguably the top 5 centers to ever play the game. Kareem, Wilt, Russell, Olajuwon, & Shaq in no particular order. This isnt even including Ewing. Is David Robinson in?

This game is simply ridiculous now. And honestly, it's making me feel angry at every other sports game for not 'bringin it' like 2k12 is. Could you imagine if Madden introduce classic teams like the 80's 49ers or the 93' Cowboys, or the 85 Bears?

NHL 12 is only bringing a fraction of what NBA 2k12 is bring with legendary players. It's not even a comparison right now. NBA 2k12 is kickin *** and takin names.

Madden used to have classic teams in the 90's.

Ming was a solid center, there's no denying that. However, I would take any of these 10 guys listed above over Yao any day. Ming is in the top 15 for sure, but didn't do anything to solidify himself in the top 10 as a center. This game will have the top centers of all time.
