Re: NBA 2K12 Developer Insight #6 - Training Camp
Not sure why some are so dismissive of things they don't see value in yet constantly crave new information. I think this mode has long been needed given the game's depth; I'm pretty sure most people only scratch the surface of what's possible to do in-game regarding the moves and strategy (including myself). I've been wanting a mode like this since seeing the stuff Momentus was pulling off with Kobe in last year's demo, or the post-play that Czar tried to help people with last year. This will go a long way towards helping people unlock the gameplay depth of the game imo and will help make the game much more accessibleHBO's "The Wire" should rank as one of the top 10 shows EVER on tv - period

i really see why some feel this mode is a waste ...this is a mode that the rookies as weel as the veteran 2kers need to dive in ...it will help us all become a more polished and fundamentally sound player...for those who skip this mode i smh @ you ...its similar to great athletic talent that come into the league and dont workout hard over the summers to hone their skills to take them to that next level of superstardome.Comment

I don't want Howard to be able to play like hakeem.. Idc if Howard practices 18 hours a day for 18 days a month for the next 18 years he will never be able to pull off the 18 different post moves hakeem brought every night for 18 years! Lol I joke but seriously I hope 2k doesn't give all moves to all players because bottom line some guys just can't do what others can.Comment

Re: NBA 2K12 Developer Insight #6 - Training Camp
My player mode WAS gonna be the first thing I did when I put 2k12 in....NOW training camp will be....that way I can learn/figure out how thngs work this year....May as well take advantage of it, cuz I'd hate to run into players who've mastered the controls and they abuse me because I don't have a clues to what the players are capable of doning....Memphis Grizzlies.....
TN Titans....
UK Wildcats......

On-topic, I love the addition of this mode. I'm a long time player, but must admit that I've never mastered all the moves. Hopefully now I can get on Mo/eDoted's level with the sticks. 2K bringing the goods once again, three more weeks!!!!

Re: NBA 2K12 Developer Insight #6 - Training Camp
This mode is exactly what I thought it would be plus more. I anticipated the tutorials but I didn't think there would be a mentor. I must say this is very nice. This would definitely be my first mode I go into when I get the game. Here are my predictions for the mentors. I am assuming the mentors will come from the legends list and they don't change but you never know.
- Jump Shots –(Jordan). They already said it. Kind of suprised at this thinking it would be Bird here but Jordan probably could do any type of jumpshot needed so I understand why Jordan is here.
- Layups and Dunks – I am going Julius Erving here as they could have put Jordan here too but Doc comes up next IMO if they didn't want to put Jordan here again.
- Triple Threat – This could be Jordan again sounds like a repeat but I don't see another legend you could put here above him here that uses these moves.
- Dribble Moves - Magic Johnson makes the most sense
- Post Offense – Hakeem Olajuwon is the first name I think of when I think of post offense second person I think of is Mchale.
- Post Defense – Bill Russell has to be here no ifs ands or buts about it.
- Off-Ball Offense - To be honest when I see this I think Reggie Miller but I think they have to put Bird here he has to be somewhere else if he is not.
- On-Ball Defense – Scottie Pippen pretty simple one here, could be Jordan as well.
- Passing and Offense –Magic in my eyes again could be Stockton as well but Magic is the cover man

Re: NBA 2K12 Developer Insight #6 - Training Camp
I'll pass on this one...looks like something I'll mess around with after I done had the game for a good couple of months like late June or July."The more you sweat in practice , the less you bleed in battle."

2. Erving to me is the best finisher all time, Jordan is the better player though but I can see them going with the Doc.
3. You got some legends that could fit here, maybe they'll go with Jordan again, we'll see.
4. Here I would go with Isiah maybe.
5. They went with Hakeem obviously, McHale would've been also a great choice though.
6. This might be Bill, yes.
7. To me the best off-ball offense that I've seen over the course of a career, came from Bird, not only when he was the one the play was for. I'll take LeBron to practice with him...
8. Scottie no doubt, you got other good choices but it'll be Pip.
9. Magic here, Stockton would've been a great choise also.
Great mode here, you can learn easily when you don't know.Last edited by Pims33; 09-12-2011, 09:35 PM.Comment
