Very cool in that if you take over someone like say Lebrons career, you are not starting as a rookie. It wasn't like that last year. Cool little mode that i will be playing.

Re: NBA 2K12 Developer Insight #6- Creating a Legend
his efficiency hasn't drop, just his mins.....
so people who don't watch Lakers games only listen to what media says actually think he lost a huge step.....
i never say ratings should base on PER, but if his efficiency are just as good as seasons before then that means he shouldn't drop that much in ratings.Comment

Re: NBA 2K12 Developer Insight #6- Creating a Legend
No, Durant should be rated about 88-90, or wherever Dirk is at. He should be a beast on offense, but is merely only average to below average on defense. The only thing Durant can do right now is score (and rebound some) but he has a long way to go before he's a complete player like Lebron. OVERALL, Lebron is better as a pure basketball player than Durant, and his OVERALL RATING should reflect that.
Some dudes just don't understand the correlation between Overall and Overall Rating. As if the key word "Overall" wasn't enough.
Edit: On Topic: I will be playing as Kobe Jr. err....I mean Nick Young in this mode.

I'd much rather Lebron was rated whatever rating Larry Bird/Magic Johnson is.Comment

I don't know about you guys but I'm hyped for this.
I never really liked MyPlayer that much because creating a 5'9 PG in a PG dominated league isn't fun for me. Nor is creating myself+ 6 inches. I much rather go through the mode as a rookie that was drafted and see if I can make them live up past the hype and turn them into a superstar.[NYK|DAL|VT]

Whats up with everyone griping about ratings. As long as the player plays like themselves it shouldn't matter. 2K has done a great job in this department for the last few years, I see no reason to doubt them this go around. And you know what, if you dont like the rating someone has, change it when you get the game.(Its your game to do what you want)
And for all those complaining about LeBron being rated higher than Kobe......they play different positions. Change LeBron to a shooting guard and those ratings may be a little closer but I still think LeBron gets the edge. The ratings are composed of attributes which is what I dont believe people understand.
Ok.......

Re: NBA 2K12 Developer Insight #6- Creating a Legend
I'm feeling this mode. Never been the type of gamer that wanted to create himself. "My Player/Team Up" online is cool but it is so hard to find a group of sim players and play selection/ CPU AI was so annoying that I lost interested in these modes. I love the player lock controller and the team aspect of fulfilling a role so this mode is alright with me.
I plan on using Terrico White. Grew up with him in the neighborhood of Raleigh in North Memphis. Went to the same high school and he played with my younger brothers coming up through community leagues and AAU. A stud at Ole Miss but has be battling injuries in his early years with the Detroit Pistons. Definitely has the potential to be an elite player in the new era of NBA basketball (pg dominant). Comparison of a young Dwanye Wade.
Also thinking about Creating A Legend with:
1. Elliot Williams of the Trailblazers
2. Thaddeus Young of the 76ers
3. (Hopefully)Anfernee "Penny" HardawayLast edited by rnichol8; 09-14-2011, 02:27 PM.XBL GT: Reggie38134Comment

Re: NBA 2K12 Developer Insight #6- Creating a Legend
I hope they added a feature for My Player/Creating a Legend where you will be able to have more of a say in the structure of your team once you gain influence. For example in 2k11 you could pick a couple of players you wanted on your team but didn't have a say in what to do with you current teammates. For example if I choose Omer Asik as my player I want to be able to tell the Bulls to move Noah to the PF position and trade Boozer, etc.Comment

Re: NBA 2K12 Developer Insight #6- Creating a Legend
Last season Kobe was 5th in PER, season before he was 15th.
but people thought he lost a step last yr, not the yr before. lol
Only difference last yr was Kobe's mins were down, so his PPG weren't as big, but his efficiency didn't drop.
Mins down were due to injuries....he didn't practice all yr long and still 5th in PER. lol
that's why he went to Germany and got treatment, he will be back to shut the dumb doubters once again, like he did many times in his career.
just for a reminder, here is what Kobe and Lebron been doing in this offseason.
Kobe
Lebron

but it also still does not negate the fact that last year was an off year so he should not be higher rated than dudes who put up the numbers.
its like Chris Paul...2k11 he wasnt even a 95 in speed... just let the truth be reflected
Kobe is still the best but its more mental than physical at this point... game should reflect it imoXbox: got1coach313
All I play is 2k
