I think every 2k game has its own feel to it so I understand when people arent happy with 2k11 animation/movement wise. It's an adjustment that you have to get used to. When I first started playing 2k11 my first thoughts were how heavy the movements felt. Each 2k has animations or certain quirks that I miss or wish never to return.

For example, If I never see a forced backcourt charge animation from 2k11 Ill be happy.

I miss the fastbreak animation from 2k10 were fast guards would push the ball.

i was actually surprised how good a lot of the 2k8 movement is...not as good as 2k12, like the OP claims, but many of the 2k8 movements still hold up fairly well. the graphics and player models are worlds apart however.

NBA 2K8 was nice for its time. In fact, it was the last 2K I thoroughly enjoyed online. But to say that 2K12 is inferior, animations or otherwise, is a really flawed opinion to say the least.

In 2ksports forum, some users see what i said in vid....it´s not a discussion about 2k12 vs 2k8.....it´s about why 2k take off some great animations from this game with the sabe engine.

I kinda agree with op...especially with the walk up animations and overall movement of players without the ball or when they arent "attacking." Its hard to explain or put my finger on. 2k8 was way too fast and had tons o' cheese but Ive felt like the game has looked a little "lifeless", less free flowing and stiff even tho the graphics and actual player models have improved tremendously.
