Re: Is there going to be a Association insight?
Had a bad feeling 2k would get lazy after 2k11...the insights somewhat had me thinking otherwise but every single video posted of the final build has me thinking it's true. Absolutely zero visible or announced improvements to Association, absolutely zero improvements to create a player hairstyles or tattoos (which is astonishing in its own right), and thus far what very little gameplay videos that have made its way online have showed the cpu playing incredibly similar to 2k11 with it's indecisiveness. I hope I eat my words next Tuesday, but right now it certainly seems that 2k once again spent too much time focusing on their whole Legends speil....Comment

Re: Is there going to be a Association insight?
Judging by the video of the 2k12 association menus (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n_U9UH1NXRc) any changes made this year are very hard to spot. Hoping the insight will shed some light.Comment

Re: Is there going to be a Association insight?
Jake Robinson is back! Best 3 point shooter in the game! For those who don't know, he was in the D-League on 2k11 and had the highest 3 point rating, but 61 overall.Comment

Re: Is there going to be a Association insight?
As for the association mode this year that really sucked. Its untouched outside of the pictures at the home screen. I was afraid they would do this and just rest on it being made for online this year. Well I dont want to play it online I want to play it offline and its just 2k11 again which I was bored of already.Last edited by ghettog; 09-27-2011, 08:33 PM.Comment

Re: Is there going to be a Association insight?
wow very disappointed about this, looks the exact same as 2k11 except new pics in the menu. and the D-league-rs and created players now look even more the same, have the exact same face but different hair and all that. Was hoping for a new Create a player but this new one seems worse than 2k11. :thumbsdown:Gamertag: BEEDEETANKComment

Re: Is there going to be a Association insight?
Yeah I hope at the very least they fix the problems for last year and actually make the hafltime show mirror the halftime show from NBA TODAY, but either way looks like I'll wait for you guys(whomever is buying it) to tell me if things have changed, cause this def. isn't a day 1 buy for me.Games I'm playing FOREVER: NFL2K5, That is all.Comment

Re: Is there going to be a Association insight?
Wow really? We have to play the same exact association from last year and no rookies. I got bored with last year association so how can I be entertained by the same thing. Not cool 2k.The association video looks EXACTLY like 2k11. ShockedLast edited by haloofduty; 09-27-2011, 11:44 PM.Comment

Re: Is there going to be a Association insight?
Well it looks like 2K may have lost a customer at this point.
No improvements... and I highly doubt they fixed progression/draft classes to make it playable after year three.
What a shame. Wish we had College Hoops, 2K8's gameplay is just about too aged at this point.Comment

Re: Is there going to be a Association insight?
Right now I would assume that if there can be computer controlled teams in online association that they at-least tweaked the AI for them and that would extend to offline. Either way the improvements to commentary and gameplay improve the Association experience in my book.Comment

Re: Is there going to be a Association insight?
I'm really surprised more than anything. Does 2K seriously believe Association isn't worthy of ANY improvements? Do they not consider it an integral part of the game that a majority of their users play (some, like myself, religiously and exclusively)?
I can understand them not focusing all of their efforts on Association and instead putting most toward My Player. I get that - My Player is the cool new mode that needed progression from last year to this year.
But to take last year's Association and simply ignore it? That screams "lazy" to me. And honestly, I hate to make posts like this because they almost seem to undermine an otherwise valiant effort by 2K on improving gameplay and realism. I love that they are continuing to improve those aspects, but they do themselves a serious disservice with this move.
Yeah, they'll get their sales. Yeah, I'll buy the game. And they know this, but that doesn't mean it isn't really disappointing.Comment
