Judging by the video of the 2k12 association menus (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n_U9UH1NXRc) any changes made this year are very hard to spot. Hoping the insight will shed some light.

Looks like ill be waitin to buy.Im hopen they put somethin out in the next few days to change my mind though.I dont know what ill do without a new 2k game this year its all i play really but there is no reason for me to spend the money on a game i already have for the most part.The game does look and play better and the legends are cool but im just not that hyped over that for some reason.

I play CH2k8 a ton still because of the legacy mode.The game doesnt look as good but its good enough for its time.But that mode is so deep and there is so much you can do outside of gameplay its insane.I hope they put the time in association next year and give us association gurus the game we deserve.I get that they cant make everyone happy and the gameplay really does look great but its lookin like 2k13 might be my game.......i hope.

they really really need to update assocation, i honestly don't really care about the legend teams, i am still young, don't know too much about stuff back it the days, i dont' like playing online too, i only like to play assocation and they give me the same stuff for the past 3-4 years, come on 2k!

I'm just shocked that association is probably untouched. There are more association players than online players. I don't think developers are worried about offline players because offline players most likely dont get online to complain. Its disturbing that a developer would say we will work on a mode next year. Its a whole year! Its easy to say but we have to play it. Hopefully they at least fixed the problems. I hate when my superstar player averages 25, gets injured, plays through it and when he is healed his average drops to 19. NBA players do sit out when they injured 2k.

Not an association player myself, but hopefully this rude awakening about 2K potentially not upgrading association, and the subsequent outcry, will give you offline gamers some perspective as to how online gamers feel about 2k neglecting that aspect of the game for years. Just remember to live and let live, when you hear online gamers complaining about the lack of saving playbooks online, the stability of the servers, etc, instead of being completely dismissive of our gripes.

Having said that, I feel your pain if indeed this news is verified, afterall there are more insights to come prior to next week's release.

Association has so many, many room for improvements ... beyond integrating new features to it (that are always fresh and welcomed).

Would love to read what has been done to the mode as I doubt it was left untouched ... even if the menus are the same, there are plenty of improvements that not necessarily can be reflected there.

Anyways, would love to see any 2k developer to come by and at least say to us to wait for the insight ... as it would be a sign good enough to cool off whatever fear there might be.

I believe that the Presentation Insight is today and the Association Insight is Friday. I do hope there are some improvements in the Association, we may even learn something about this from today's Presentation insight about the Association if 2K has added more presentation elements in Assocation mode.

Very disapointing so far.

We're only a handful of days away and I cant pre-order my copy until I know what improvements have been made to Association.

I may be one of the few people who feel this way but I do not care about any of the "Legend Modes". I didnt play the Jordan Challenge in 2K11, and I'm not about to play with all of the "Legend teams".

To an extent I dont really care about My Player considering I get bored being the only user player. Dont feel the competitive edge when I'm playing against the CPU. If they found a way to make My Player more dynamic in which our regular seasons are tied into online in which we work through an 82 game schedule playing 82 games against opposing My Player's teams online, it'd be perfect. Maybe even an Online My Player in which a 30 Player league can exist, I'm sure its enough guys on here to pull it off. If you get traded to a team already with a user controlled My Player then basically it can combine the aspects of Team-Up with My Player.





.........But I'm in this for the Association.

If they really didnt upgrade Association then it is a huge mistake on their part. Considering rookies wont be added until the Lockout is over, they'll be missing quite a few customers until January. Even then we'll probably just be buying used versions anyways. Im sure some who buy the game will be so disillusioned by the lack of improvement to Association(including no rookies/Free Agency) that they trade it in for MW3.

But I'm holding out hope they saved the best news for last.

You wouldn't think it'd be so hard for them to code a decent player development system or expand the scouting system by now..or hell, I'll take the d league lol

I love association, it's a large portion of what i play. But I won't be picking up 2k14 unless something has changed
