I find Broadcast better for defense and getting sucked into the game/enjoying the animations, while 2K makes it easier to do dribble moves and get the right shot off. That said, I do what I want to do on Broadcast 80% of the time and, again, feel like I can see the court much better overall, so I play with that one. No one I've ever met in real life likes the broadcast cam at all though, so we play 2K when it's 1-on-1.

Re: How many of you stick with Broadcast camera?
Uhm, the people that say broadcast cam looks more realistic makes no sense to me. It looks like TV, which is the point...
The realistic view from a basketball perspective would have to be 2K cam. I'm pretty sure Kobe and Lebron and the rest of the guys do not have some kind of magical out-of-body experience while playing basketball.Comment

Re: How many of you stick with Broadcast camera?
Broadcast. Always been too lazy to change it, plus it works fine for me. But hearing that so many folks use 2k cam, maybe I'll give it a try in a couple games when I finally get my hands on 2K12... ONLY 13 MORE DAYS!!!!Comment

Re: How many of you stick with Broadcast camera?
See I feel the same but different, I want it to feel like I'm playing, so to me the from the press box view takes away from the experience.Comment

Re: How many of you stick with Broadcast camera?
I can't use 2k. I can't see my legs properly and my hands when I shoot, making me rely on the feedback indicator. Thats why I stick to broadcast. Plus all the moves look MUCH better in broadcast view.
Speaking of broadcast, wouldn't it be **** if Mack Jackson was doing the commentary with the other guys. Having:
"Hand down man down" after replays
"Mama there goes that man" at the end of quarters when they recap and one of your stars is on fire
"That was a grown man move" When you finish with contact/in traffic.
That alone would make me buy every versio of the game lolComment

Re: How many of you stick with Broadcast camera?
No, they don't. They look best in Turbo cam actually, but I like having a static camera point, so I prefer 2K.
Also, using visuals for timing your shot? I do that for the first few days or whenever I switch my jumpshot etc, but once you've played the game for a while, you should have the timing down cold, and not need any visual indicator imo.
Exactly. Don't play video games. Play basketball.Comment

This is why 2k needs to bring First Person Cam back.....

I use the broadcast cam or the side cam as of 2k11, and adjust the height to give more top/down viewComment

Re: How many of you stick with Broadcast camera?
I use both Broadcast and 2k. Mostly 2K when playing by myself and broadcast when playing against others. I may switch entirely to broadcast thoughComment

Re: How many of you stick with Broadcast camera?
I've always used broadcast cause I like the feeling that it feels like a TV broadcast. Also, I feel I get a good sense of the court that way. What we know so far about NBA 2K14 - FAQ/QA:

Re: How many of you stick with Broadcast camera?
Even though broadcast use to be all we had with games like Lakers vs Celtics, once a vertical camera was included in basketball games, I could no longer tolerate broadcast at all.
I never play demos anyway, but if I did, I would have still passed on this demo because of there only being broadcast cam available.Jordan Mychal Lemos

Do this today: Instead of $%*#!@& on a game you're not going to play or movie you're not going to watch, say something good about a piece of media you're excited about.
Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.Comment

Re: How many of you stick with Broadcast camera?
I think for me, a big part of referring Broadcast to 2K is that I haven't played basketball since high school, and even then I didn't play much more than Knockout very often. But I watch a TON of it, so my experience with understanding how the action unfolds on a court is mostly tethered to that sideline view. Most of my friends play in rec leagues and stuff and they prefer the 2K cam easily; then again, they also play a lot of Madden and/or NCAA and I haven't owned one of those games since the leap to PS3.Comment
