downloaded the demo on ps3, and i seen enough to make my decision... despite the updated graphics, its still behind xbox IMO.... but I'm not feeling the xbox version either.... faces like Dirk are horribly off, so pc for me, but 2k did update ps3 graphics this year, but not enough for me to choose it or console versions,

I've played on both consoles and the PS3 version is still inferior graphically, hope it's only a demo thing.

I wouldn't go so far as to say "they got it right." PS3 demo version is still not up to par (or equal) with 360 version. Color and graphics and some displays (sidelines, crowds) still better on 360.

So these boards are not going to go all yippee-ki-yay about 2k closing PART of the graphical disparity gap.

PS3 version is definitely improved, however the colors are a bit off compared to 360.

Better than nothing, though.

No idea,
But last year, we didn't get updated menu system; we got the ones from 2k10. And the shading and colouring and lighting on models was glaringly worse on the PC, so much so that modders did their best to try and mimic the console versions.

No response from 2K on this likely means its the same crippled version this year. Maybe we got lucky and got 2k11 menus lol.

I have it from a very reliable source that the PC version definitely isn't crippled... I had the same questions, being that I'll be playing on PC.

Better than nothing, though.

For the colors, it's always the same on PS3, all you have to do is going under Display Settings and choose "Full range RGB colors" and not "Limited" (the default value is "Limited").

Then colors are exactly the same as on 360... The color difference is a myth.

Why is ps3 inferior every year? I've been thinking about selling my Xbox and getting myself another ps3, but i'm wondering if I'm making the right choice because I play 2k basketball the most.

^^^^This^^^^ the colors look washed out otherwise, and you get a bunch of people making silly comments about the ps3 version being inferior.
