I can see reviewers saying its too similar to last year not appreciating alot of the sttle improvements...

I agree with this. This is showing already. Most of the gameplay improvements were to increase simulation experience. They need to get sports gamers to review these games.

no game is completely perfect, but there have been some games in the past few years to get 10's just because they made huge leaps or accomplished something especially great.

Yeah, but those were games with stories.

I think the time we get 10s across the board for a 2k game is when it seems unfeasible for them to get any closer to reality.

To be honest i could care less what any reviewer says about a game because at the end of the day there not going to influence me to change my judgement on the game. I like what I like and they like what they like.

Everybody has their own opinions thats why i wait until i make my judgement on the game before I listen to any one else judgement. One person could love the game and another person can hate the game.

2K11 was easily the best basketball game of all time IMO, so I would have no problems seeing 2K12 receive a 9+ rating, or if it has improved enough...a 10.

As someone mentioned, Fifa 12 is the "king" of sports games this year and it certainly won't be touched by NBA 2K12.

I don't think any sports game gets a 10 until it perfectly simulates their real life counterpart. And I mean perfectly.

No, a 10 does not mean a game is perfect, but it means that the game is as good as it can possibly be, given the current technology. That being said, NBA 2K12 won't not get a 10 because it doesn't simulate real life perfectly. No sports game can do that and never will, so it would be irrational to dock points for that.

Exactly. NBA 2K11 got a 9.5 in large part because it made huge strides for the franchise. NBA 2K12 hasn't made the same magnitude of improvements, so a 10 won't happen.

Wait it out, get to see for yourselves after october 6th and make your own verdict.

Game drops October 4th, not 6th, and most (respectable) game reviewers have their reviews up at least a few days before the title launches.

IGN would never and should never give a game a 10 with as weak an online experience as 2K has been providing with its servers lately. Unless their servers are as strong as, say, Halo: Reach's or better, there's no reason to give the game a 10 unless a fanboy is reviewing it.

The improvements (in both quantity and quality) that FIFA has made since 11 are on par with the improvements made by 2K since 2K11. I'm thinking 2K12 either gets a 9.0 or 9.5, but probably a 9.0. FIFA appeals to more people, worldwide, and may sell more units because of this alone, but that doesn't mean it's a better quality package.

I'm sure 2k may deserve a 10....just because when we thought 2k11 couldn't be topped, and they've seemed to have done that....BUT you've got haters, I mean critics who are gonna slam em because T Mac's eye looks cocked...(even though it's really cocked ) or because they don't have a waterboy pitching towels and bringing Gatorade during timeouts....they'll find some reason to NOT give them a 10....

maybe not in that grading scale but i have seen sports games rated 100..does that count because if Madden was able to do it this year that of course 2k will..but that may not be what u r talking about

I'd love to know why you think I'm basing what I said off of the demo and not things like insights and the most complete, recent footage of the game that I can find, which is the Clippers v. Celtics gameplay. As much as I want to add the trailers to that list, I can't because they're made to make the game look good. I'm fully aware that the demo is virtually the same demo given to people months ago, maybe minus some glitches.

How can you (or anyone else for that matter) say it's a 10 if no one knows, or really has any idea of how strong the online aspect of it will be, particularly in terms of latency and ease of use.

2k12 won't get a 10 for sure due to ART (player faces being off, especially Dirk) , but i think it will get a 9.6-9.8 maybe 9.9, but a 10 is out of the question for sure
