I'd love to know why you think I'm basing what I said off of the demo and not things like insights and the most complete, recent footage of the game that I can find, which is the Clippers v. Celtics gameplay. As much as I want to add the trailers to that list, I can't because they're made to make the game look good. I'm fully aware that the demo is virtually the same demo given to people months ago, maybe minus some glitches.



How can you (or anyone else for that matter) say it's a 10 if no one knows, or really has any idea of how strong the online aspect of it will be, particularly in terms of latency and ease of use.

Until you played the game everything you said is nothing more than ramblings based on assumptions.

That couldn't be more false.

If you gave someone a demo, gameplay footage, and insights for a game like E.T. for the Atari (you know... the worst game ever made) and they said it wouldn't get a 10, apparently, you'd completely dismiss that.

Sometimes you don't have to play more than a demo and watch more than just gameplay videos and read more than just insights, previews and impressions from actual game critics to know if a game is worthy of a 10 or not.

Sorry to crush your hopes and dreams, but while this may surpass 2K11 as the greatest NBA video game ever made (not considering the "for its time" factor), it definitely won't be a 10. If by some miracle (or mistake) IGN gives it a 10, I'll eat my words and scribble "DUNCE" on my forehead in black Sharpie and wear it around school for a day.

Once again you make assumptions, I never said the game would get a 10, I said 9.5 or better, and like it has been said the demo is at least a month if not more old build, the gameplay video was horrible because Ronnie sucked, and if you are claiming after the insights that you say you read that 2k12 has not made enough improvements over 2k11 you must be smoking, I can recall people were saying the same thing when 2k11 demo was released they called it 2k10.5.

"I" would give it a 10.... And Popeye would tell u spinach is GREAT....yea, I love 2k that much, wether the next person does or not.... I'm sure 2k may deserve a 10....just because when we thought 2k11 couldn't be topped, and they've seemed to have done that....BUT you've got haters, I mean critics who are gonna slam em because T Mac's eye looks cocked...(even though it's really cocked ) or because they don't have a waterboy pitching towels and bringing Gatorade during timeouts....they'll find some reason to NOT give them a 10....

That's not a review, it's, i don't know, a crush or an infatuation or something else... It may be a 10, I sure hope it is, but you won't know until you have the retail version in your hands. SMH

1. I never said you said the game was a 10. All I've been saying this entire time is that it won't get a 10, and giving my reasons why I say that. Period.

2. I'm well-aware that the gameplay video is from July-ish (which I think I mentioned in an older post). And just because someone doesn't play the game well, that doesn't mean you can't glean any information from that gameplay video.

3. I said the combination of quality and quantity of the updates from 2K11 to 2K12 don't look like they exceed that from 2K10 to 2K11, which was a big contributor to why 2K11 got a 9.5 from IGN. Obviously, updates are rolling in for 2K12 over 2K11, but they aren't as game-changing as from 10 to 11.

Regardless to what "YOU" say or think....looking at how 2k has addressed the graphics, controls, gameplay, audio, and everything they've added to my player mode..... It's a 10 hands down.... 2k11 wasn't perfect BUT most people felt like that was the BEST basketball game 2k had ever put out.... It almost seemed like they couldn't top it.... Well, after reading the hands on previews, the insights, and playing a demo that looks and feels BETTER than 2k11 (a demo with NO FEATURES at that) 2k12 is gonna top 2k11... and wether I have it in my hands yet or not...."I" give it a 10....I'm no game reviewer....I'm just a gamer...and 2k just happens to be my favorite game....

I think not ... and I would dare to say that sadly no sim sports game would ever be rated with a perfect score.

As opposed to all other games rated that much, NBA 2k tries to mimic a very specific real life event and with that comes plenty of subjectives things that vary from person to person.

Indistinct of bugless, glitchless, exploitless, flawless online and a plethora of modes that rise replayability ... it is almost a certainty that such games wont be rated as high for the previously highlighted factors.

Ultimatelly, what should content us is that whatever the score, the game must be an improvement from its previous itineration and one that justify our bought. My expectation after reading all the info up to this point, is that 2k12 will be better than the GOAT 2k11, a 10 or not.

how can you guys try and rate a game that has not released yet? i hope it gets a 10 and not cuz some reviewer likes it but becouse it lives up to it in every aspect of the game.

1. old gameplay vids. why havent there been any new videos? is it that hard to post a new game play video? so us improvements from the demo.

2. base'n your 10 off of insights is the last thing you wanna do. They are in it for the money so they can tell you anything just to hook you. They may say you'll like a feature and you get all giddy about it. but until you play it, its just 2k saying we've improved this/ you will like it.

3. its an early build demo. thats what everyone says when it is something they dont like in the game. what makes you think they will not change something you do like about the game also?



the demo is fun reading insights are great. but im not gonna run and give it a high and or perfect score based on what 2k has given us to go off of. even when they are admit'n everything they have given us has some type of flaw.

lol i didn't say 2k12 would be a 10, i don't even think it could be a 10.. i'm just explaining to you that 10 is not an impossibility..anyway, don't get too stuck up with game ratings, everyone knows it's gonna be a great game worth buying, so ratings are not really that important..

so far FiFa 12 is the highest scored sports game this year.

i wonder how it got those scores when its demo look like this...

10 is out of the question. 8.6 - 8.8 is more like it.

As someone mentioned, Fifa 12 is the "king" of sports games this year and it certainly won't be touched by NBA 2K12.
