And paying for a DLC .. I'll give it to them. It's a good idea. Do it like they did the Combine. It probably has its best value at $10 .. but make it $5 so the market doesn't panic. Take some of that money and pay the old school players and the league for licensing their likenesses. If my homeboy sat in his house for a year and designed this game for me - I'd probably give him $200 or more easily for it. They want $70. For all the stuff they've done ... (65 + 5). Especially since I'll probably be playing it actively until August 2012 anaywayz ... heeh. Keep it man - call it a tip for a job well done. Demo looks good enough - plus you have good credit with me from your past work. I work hard .. you work hard .... ehh - I'll drop an extra five for the cause. I really hope they do it that way. Make it optional ... fair enough. -

What makes me disappointed is that we might be paying for content that's already on the disc, should that be the case. If it's something that didn't fit on the disc, or that 2K created after finishing up the game, then that's fine. I just don't like having to pay extra for something that's already there.
In any case, we don't even know whether or not we'll have to purchase the DLC, or how much it's going to cost, so I'll just be patient.Comment

Thank you for posting! Looks like I'll be buying the game now lol. I agree with everyone that hopefully we will get to play with the legend teams in real arenas. Don't want to play with them in street ball either lol, that would be pretty lame.Last edited by DoWork; 09-26-2011, 08:52 PM.Comment

You can play with the greatest teams offline in the arenas, and possibly not online?! That would be incrediblely stupid. 2k don't mess this up! The arenas, the colors, the court is all part of the nostalgia. If it is dlc that comes with a price, so be it. Just do this right. The dream playing at the fourm against lake show?! Online?! Are you kidding me?! Who isn't drooling for these matchups online in those arenas!
Cmon Man! Get it right!Comment

We have to pay extra for Legends online, what a joke how are you going to charge for your biggest feature for this years game. If I want to play a buddy online with these team I shouldn't have to pay 1200-1600 MS points to do so, pathetic.Comment

If u have to pay to play with legend teams online I'm not against it I will pay. Do u think it was easy for them to get these greats on the game in the first place. I don't mind paying a lil extra for the time and effort they put into that. GOOD JOB 2K you guys truly are for the people that play this game.Comment

Re: NBA 2K12 Legendary Teams Will Be Playable Online, Via DLC
FANTASTIC news!
My ONLY fear is the guy who said they're trying to blow out EA's NBA Jam is right...and that's ALL we get; no sim style game with Legends. If that's the case, I wouldn't be surprised if we saw a higher price, too. Something along the lines of NBA Jam, but slightly less ($25???).
I hope that's wrong...but I'm prepping myself for the worst. Normally, I'd think that would be an acceptable money grab, and gladly pay it. This year is different, though. This year, with the lockout, they're expecting us to buy a full price game with the EXACT same rosters as we have in 2K11, right now. Unless the season does indeed start, those rosters will NEVER change...no trades, no drafts, no injuries, no updates after good performance. For offline players, that's offset by the Legends being added to the game. But for those of us who play online, we're essentially paying full price for a really nice title update.
Ideally, this will be priced at $30 retail, with a free voucher in every copy of 2K12. That way they can compete against NBA Jam, create goodwill with their customers, AND take a bite out of used-game sales. Let's just hope that in all of this we'll still be able to play a REAL game with the Legends, even if it's on blacktop.
Day 1 download even at $60...cuz I'm stupid.Comment

should be for free.99. there should be no reason to pay for something that should already be in the game. 2k needs to announce this officially because the details for this feature are very confusing. is it just blacktop mode with legends online? or is it that plus being able to use the legend teams online? either way doesn't seem right to charge money for..hopefully this will be clarified within a couple days.Comment

Wow lmao....whatever the majority wants I hope they get. I love the game, don't play (this game) online much but I do play others (COD).... I most likely won't use this feature, but like I said I hope the majority gets what they want.
As far as DLC goes, if I have to pay, so be it as long as it's reasonable (the price and the content). I can't wait to have this game. Maybe 2K can surprise with a Barkley, Miller and Iverson DLC.....nah.......but it'd be nice lol.Comment
