I don't play online much, but I don't see why you are all upset about it. Feel free to explain to me because I don't get it. You feel it's normal that online is screwed up? How could he knew it before buying the game?

We're mad because he's borderline trolling and we feel the online gamers need their own section to converse.

Well Crew seemed a pretty screwed up mode from what i've seen but if it's not there and he liked it I can understand he isn't happy. Especially since we didn't have an online insight.

I don't get the disparity between "offline vs online" ballers. sim isn't some concept unique to offline players. like it or not, online is where things are, where things are headed, and it holds the most potential for awesomeness. how many people are going to play MW3 offline? online is dynamic, offline is a redundant cpu.

MP + crew + online association = the future. think MMO


gonna take the wait and see approach with crew. really hope it's in the game.
the dlc stuff it might be cool though, 3on3 might actually be more fun 'cause of everyone being manually controlled with no cpu players.

Im going to cheese stupid hard this game. The same **** will still be in 2k11 cause I was spin dunking with tyson chandler in the demo off lead passes. still pump-fakes and hop stepping except harder. all they added is post game. Its a shame that they remove crew now im gonna play ranked all day and post videos of how easy it is exploit this game. plus dirk has a 99 mid and he is 7'0...oh gawd. lead passing the whole game for me.

Like Tymes said, I've been a predominant "lurker" on the site for quite some time, and have seen all the many episodes of "fan disappointment" threads shoot up for just about every installment of the 2K series. But what I don't understand is what the big deal is with online gaming anyway... I mean most of the guys online cheat in some way or fashion, and those that don't cheat do things that insult the game of basketball as a whole.

I thought the focus here was to experience the most sim-like gameplay possible... and lets face it, as long as there are exploits to be used and discovered, online is going to be the battleground that Simulation dies on no matter how 2K tries to resolve it.

IDK, it might be my age speaking, but the last thing I wanna do with the little time that I have to play is waste it.

I can respect that man. I play online only but I feel where you are coming from. Ranked matches are terrible and people cheese super hard in those, but I'm just so competitive that I want to beat these guys. Once my online league starts I never touch ranked, but before when I have nothing to do I usually venture into ranked.

I hate seeing people make the game of basketball look so silly. But I just can't play the CPU consistently because its the same stuff all the time. And plus I don't feel any achievement in beating the CPU. It may seem silly but I get enjoyment out of beating a human opponent in the this game online(mostly sim leagues). Maybe it's just silly pride but I love competition and cracking someone's code.

In fact, NBA players play the game to win and beat their opponents. Yeah they play the game because they enjoy it, but I'm sure winning is what they try to achieve the most. Also, the NBA allows them to play the best of the best. Online allows us gamers to play the best of the best too, which is why I love it.

What's the sense of having skills if you can't show it off??

Much respect back, and I would LOVE to tone my game against guys that I'd also learn from online. But, like I said before, I just don't have the time like that anymore, trying to find those great match-ups. For me the battles I have against the CPU aren't so much for winning itself, but more so for re-enacting the NBA as I see it. When the Lakers go out there and lay eggs, best believe I'ma be on 2K right after doing what they should have done...(damn mavs and their 3's)

Wait is crew really taken out? That is a horrible decision if true. I am a ps3 user and crew and leagues was the only thing I did with 2k. Crew was very fun.

Forget the xbox. keep it for ps3 at least/

I'll reserve judgement till I see what can be done in online association. I am less than impressed with maddens online franchise. In addition as a sim bualler the lack of saving playbooks is a MAJOR dissapointment.
