The fact that they list "weird faces" as a negative fault really speaks to the work that 2k put into this...there are really no prominent negatives.

Well deserved score, once again. Props to 2k for stepping it up once again this year despite having no competition at the moment. It's been awesome following 2k12 and Tuesday can't come any sooner...

The last paragraph is what really stands out for me and just solidifys the review. With no competition and to put out a score like this is pretty amazing

Well according to Pasta, this review is phony because he claims 2K bought the rights to 9.5 from IGN.

Pasta is in full force hate mode on 2K.

someone also reported there should of been no reviews until release day due to the embargo put forth by 2k. This one was probably 'approved' by 2k marketing

What i find funny about this is the game didn't get a 10 because of the "Weird Faces". OH well this is another good year for 2K it looks like.

Yea but not pasta comments on twitter have Donny moore saying that IGn failed to say no rookies.

That guy Pastapadre is hardcore when it comes to bashing 2k!! I can understand not liking a game or a company for certain shortcomings or whatever but some guys are like gaming hitlers!! I dont get it but to each its own. Good review by ign good to see 2k getting the accolades they deserve. Oct. 4 cant come fast enough!!!!!

Well I just find it weird that he has been real hard on anything 2K related this year. He even links people to a Hitler video making fun of no rookies in 2K

How is he suppose to be taken serious if he acts like that. He claims he is just doing the right thing by informing us but we know what the game offers.

His poll on twitter about who will buy the DLC was 20% yes and 80% no

He says that 2K told all companies that unless the score is 9.0 or above they cannot post their review until Tuesday. He called it sleazy

first, ign is probably where you go to get your favorable review. i like 2k, but their way of handling the marketing this year irks me.

second, just because it's better than last year doesn't mean it should be scoring the same or higher. if that was the case, wouldn't updated rosters count as an improvement and therefore nba 2k11.5 would be a 9.5?

I'm not going to bash him - it's against the rules of our site.

But you're right - you can not take this individual seriously until they stop showing their bias.

Let's just get back to the discussion about the IGN review and pay them no mind.
