Well first of all, I'm not 14 or 15 years old. Also why do you care how I make my team? Since its my game I can make my roster however the **** I want. I usually don't make trades that involve using trade override but I felt like making a team that I can have fun playing with. Since the purpose of video games is to have fun. -

Re: NBA 2K12: The Official Association/Online Association Thread
So in this N.O. association I traded for Tyrus Thomas, but was just thinking what do you guys think of Beasley? Im thinking about trading for him...I think you could make a reasonable argument that he could get traded by the TWolves at this point, but playing back at the 4 instead of the 3..what do y'all think?Comment

First I want to say sorry about that. I just thought that you were sort of attacking me personally, but my bad. But I do agree with you on adding too many all stars on your team is lame. That's why when ever I do add too many all stars, I usually restart because I feel it isn't realistic.Comment

Re: NBA 2K12: The Official Association/Online Association Thread
I'm on the third year of an association with the 97/98 Lakers, which has been great fun. I replaced 16 teams with Legend teams I've been running on 29 game seasons with 5/5/7/7 Playoffs. I kept the big modern teams in (Heat, Bulls, Lakers, Mavs, Celtics etc - plus some interesting other ones) and have been running with a slightly modified 2012 draft class from 2kshare (which I actually used in 2013) and a couple of my own draft classes with created players in (my current one has approximate renditions of my 2K11/2K12 My Players, which is fun).
I've learnt a few things though and I think I'll be starting over in early January:- Having the old teams is fun but having their old uniforms (particularly the short shorts) is just annoying after the novelty wears off. Next time I'll be moving the entire classic team into a current one - Showtime Raptors!
- Similarly, having the generic players padding out the classic rosters is awful because they just get everywhere, especially once you've had a couple of seasons of retiring guys. I'll be leaving the lower rated bench players on teams when I move a classic team's players into it. So those Showtime Raptors will have the dregs of Toronto's current bench in place of the hated 2K generics.
- Having a deep free agent pool to start with is very nice - again, it avoids proliferating generic 2K players around. So I'll be releasing as many young players as I can into the pool when I replace their team members with a classic team. Probably avoiding stars but we'll see.
- Unfortunately, contracts need to be sorted out unless you want the mother of all free agency periods after the first year. I spotted what was going to happen half way through my first season and edited two key players per classic team to have at least 2 years and a no-trade clause. About half the classic teams don't come with proper contracts.
- 29 games, whilst nice for progressing swiftly through an association, is too short and produces annoying "they split the series" commentary for every game in the subsequent seasons! I'll be going with 58 games, 6 minute quarters (I started with 5 minute quarters but found that you need at least 6 to get some kind of rotation working).
- 97/98 Shaq is a beast!

Re: NBA 2K12: The Official Association/Online Association Thread
Rebuilding the Hornets myself. Moved Okafor, Ariza, and Jack for 1 year contracts. Also picked up Josh Howard from FA pool.
3-3 so far with losses to Chicago, L.A., and Miami. Wins against Sacramento, Golden State, and San Antonio. About to play Houston.
My Lineup is:
PG:Baron Davis/Mo Williams
SG:Eric Gordon/ Mo Williams/Willie Green
SF:Al-Farouq Aminu/Josh Howard
PF:Carl Landry/Jason Smith/Samardo Samuels
C:Chris Kaman/Jason Smith
I also got the Minnesota pick being that it was in the CP3 trade.Comment

Re: NBA 2K12: The Official Association/Online Association Thread
Started one with Houston. Beat Utah 100-84 behind a big 26 point output from Kevin Martin. Courtney Lee gave me 17 off the bench too.
Then I lost to Sacramento because, well, I could not stop Tyreke Evans. He scored 39 points on me and I just had no answer.
So I am 1-1 and still trying to learn how to use Scola and Patterson.Comment

I need the opinion of you guys. I have both Evan Turner and Kobe on the same team. Currently I have Turner as my 6th man and lately he's been putting up stats as if he was a starter and I am thinking of either putting him in the starting lineup or leaving him as my primary scorer off the bench. If I do put Turner into the starting lineup I either have to put him in the Pg or Sg position. Sorry if this is long but who do you think is better suited for the Pg position, Kobe or Turner and why.Comment
