Reason why they got rid of Crew play... People just don't know how to act.

I thought it was because of the 7 foot guards/forwards that would block any and everything.

When was this stated that 2k wouldn't have crew modes? This does make 2k worse, maybe not worse as an overall game compared to last years, but it is more worse than it would be if it had the mode in.

Taking away game modes is always a problem, unless the community wanted the game mode gone. I really enjoyed bringing my "My player" on to a team, and try out for the team, and eventually make the team, making 3-4 new friends, and its just our created men against the worlds created men...

How will that not be missed?

I think they should delete My Player. it has issues. crew had issues, so it got deleted and offline players cheered and said they're glad it's gone. I say we employ the same logic for My Player. since it's hackable, it defeats the purpose of leveling up and pretty much destroys the integrity of the mode. that's an issue. if Association ever has issues, let's delete that too. don't deal with the issues, just delete the mode and we can all cheer

Funny, 2k believes myplayer to be the most played mode, so you'd want 2k to alienate and annoy the majority of nba 2k11/12 players then? I'm so glad 2k doesn't listen to spiteful people like you, because frankly you're clueless.

you're missing the logic and underestimating what makes my player so popular to begin with -- the potential to bring your player online and compete vs the world. tell me how many people can sit there and play season after season in my player offline, completely destroying the static cpu? the point is if 2K actually took online seriously for one second, crew would be in the game and it would function as advertised. their priority was about marketing Legend teams like there's even much substance to that. legend teams were in 2K11 and I didn't see people go ape-sh-- over it. legends are a gimmick plain and simple. it took precedent over larger issues like online functionality. another videogame company had that type of business model and prioritization and look at them now? online gamers have gotten cool game modes but they haven't worked as advertised. I'd think it'd be better to get those original game modes working before adding more features like online association.

Deleting "My Player" is dumb. Taking your own created player and putting him through the process of an original NBA Player on his road to greatness is down right amazing. I never played crew mode one time during 2K11 & I still think it's the best basketball game ever (since I haven't received my copy of 12' yet, 4 1/2 more hours )

A lot of you guys need to think of how much My Player will keep evolving over the years of the 2K series and what we will be able to do with this mode in games to come. Besides, everyone who downplays modes/gameplay/etc on the new 2K12 should just shut it because we all know you're gonna be in the masses of "Midnight Releases" or withdrawing 60 bucks from your bank accounts to cop this work of art when it drops tomorrow.

All to say. Please people. Stop fronting for OP.

still is underestimating the online aspect of my player. crew is a game mode that became a game in itself. no one hardly played regular teamup post-crew. crew got ton of play even w/hackers and w/server issues and w/cheese moves. imagine how many more people would play it if those things were guaranteed to be taken care of.

also underestimating that this game will sell as much without crew in it. MP w/crew became the only mode many played. with it gone and the old rosters due to the lockout, there's not a whole lot of incentive to buy a new game... unless online association gets high participation & success rate and DLC is something worthwhile. going from crew back to teammup is like going from a dvd player back to vhs. not worth it to me.
