still is underestimating the online aspect of my player. crew is a game mode that became a game in itself. no one hardly played regular teamup post-crew. crew got ton of play even w/hackers and w/server issues and w/cheese moves. imagine how many more people would play it if those things were guaranteed to be taken care of.

also underestimating that this game will sell as much without crew in it. MP w/crew became the only mode many played. with it gone and the old rosters due to the lockout, there's not a whole lot of incentive to buy a new game... unless online association gets high participation & success rate and DLC is something worthwhile. going from crew back to teammup is like going from a dvd player back to vhs. not worth it to me.

Uhh.. it's the most updated game in the NBA 2K series.. enough reason to buy a new game. The lockout won't be forever, and 2K12 will still be around, they already made it CLEAR AS DAY that they will make the necessary updates once the lockout has ended. It's kind of a pick your poison ordeal, if you simply just play 2K for the crew mode. We know what you're gonna be playing, just know.. when you decide to make the switch to 2K, your gonna be going up against other players who have had the game for quite some time, while you're stuck in training camp trying to get your game up to par.

I don't play online at all, I'll happily spend months in MyPlayer against only the CPU, at least I get to avoid cheesers, immaturity and bad losers because frankly some of the crew defenders sound like one of the 3. I have no motivation to pit my guy against online players and because of that I'll shed no tears for crew mode or whatever name it takes this time.

lol. yeah that's what I'm saying is the people who played MP specifically for crew - that's where the sales hit will be felt. and I think they'll be surprised that MP popularity will be lower because the underlying incentive to play it was removed. for offline players, I'm sure they'll get it 'cause there game mode they played the most is still in tact.

But would it really? They took away Crew but gave MyPlayer far more of a endgoal so really what they took away was given back anyway. Also, those crew only players would just find a different online mode to spend their time, the hit on MyPlayer will be insignificant. Not to mention any online DLC they run.

I seriously doubt if hackers really played my player mode....they only used it to create players.....and take em straight to crew games.... So my player mode shouldn't/won't ever be effected because there is no crew mode....

Not to mention most myplayer players have no idea about Crew. If I wasn't a OS user I'd not have known about Crew such was my ignorance of all things not called offline myplayer.

Oh please, 5.5million people bought nba2k11, a few hardcore crew players are spamming his twitter, big deal. Talk to me when even 0.1% of the people who bought nba 2k11 chime in.
