Re: Anybody else worried about 2k12?

[QUOTE LOL, this is classic. Let me recap how this conversation has gone...

Me: The cpu makes every shot, it's a little crazy!

Response: Of course they do, they're NBA players. NBA players don't miss even semi-open shots.

Me: Uhhh, yes they do. NBA players miss open shots all the time.

Response: Well duh, of course they do. Bastketball is hard.

    [/QUOTE]

Well all I'm saying is what your complaining about, is the same thing that alot of people are saying with regards to what they love about the game, tough ai offense, stars playing like stars, varied attacks. But hey it's all up to opinion, and well it's good thing we have sliders and a large community of reditors, so we can all have the game we want to play

Yeah, that's true, and that's why it's a tough situation because the improvements have made 2k11 unplayable. But some of the issues such as unreliable defense mean that close games against the cpu could lead into some insanely frustrating throw the controller moments.

I see them in the demo all the time when Jason Kidd literally passes straight to a defender, when nobody gets back on D for a fast break (a mistake the cpu rarely makes), when the AI leaves a man wide open under the basket, or when Chris Bosh and Lebron James are consistently matching Dirk in the area of shooting accuracy.

Are they ever releasing another Live, or did they just can the series after 2k11?

They're called sliders, fellas. Use 'em.

Dude. It sounds like you are saying that people are making unreasonable shots and its frustrating. I believe every one understands that. In the flip side, everyone has either played the demo also or the full game. So the fact that everyone doesn't agree may mean that their could be adjustments that could be made. Irl the Miami heat are a difficult, some might say frustrating, team to defend. Would you want it any other way.

Ditto man. Casual basketball fans or 2k gamers are fine with out of the box setting and sliders for the most part, but to get the best experience sliders are gonna be your friend. Just wait for a day or two after launch and there should be a great set on this site for you to use.

Since this whole thread is based on the DEMO, I'm closing it up.

OP, best advice I can give you... Rent the Retail version first to see if your fears are realised.
