Don't forget about players randomly walking away from their man and leaving their man wide open for no reason. Gave me flashbacks of 2k9, because it's the exact same problem.

I would hardly call stuff like this "intensity".

It shouldn't have to happen like that, but just to be sure...did these people have their defensive settings, both for coaching (like pressure, help defense, etc.) and individual settings (auto, double team in post, etc. for individual matchups) set? I'm just curious; not a criticism at all.

After sitting with the game for 2 weeks after release. I still don't think they should change the difficulty, but how things occur. I do think the user's defensive abilities need a patch to be truly effective. The CPU is way too good with up and unders. Passing can be a little unsatisfactory also. There are a few flaws.

For the most part though, I do enjoy this game. It can use a few tweaks, but nothing drastic.

At this point, you're trolling and if you continue going into every thread with the same stuff, you'll be infracted for it, its plain and simple. I've seen enough from you doing this over and over
There will be no more warnings for you

Bull, just because you disagree with my opinion doesn't mean im trolling, seriously what's your deal. You haven't given me any warnings either. You're being pretty unprofessional for a mod. You need to learn that just because you don't like an opinion doesn't mean it's trolling, and there are people that agree with me, are they trolling too? You talk about coming into the thread with the same stuff(untrue) but don't you come into every thread defending everything 2k does? By your logic isn't that trolling too? Just saying. I have just as much of a right to express my opinion as you do.

I THINK he did. I can't be 100% sure but i remember him saying something about it at some point in one of his vids. Still, i don't think that should be happening regardless of the settings because a lot of the time the ai didn't leave their assignment to double team they just left to go stand in the paint or get out of the way.

Some good points except he has given you several verbal warnings, they don't always have to be formal warnings via pm sometimes it can be a simple "Hey man that's enough." in response to a post you made in a thread.

Back to the matter at hand, I still don't think anyone wants the intensity turned down I think they want the gameplay mechanics to work WITH the intensity instead of against it.

Hmm, maybe so. I still find this ridiculous though, i can almost guarantee if had come in the thread saying "2k12 is the best thing ever" or defending everything about 2k12 he wouldn't have a problem with me(considering that's all i've seen him do in my short time on here) Everyone is entitled to their opinion, and im not doing anything wrong. I haven't attacked anyone or anything i've just expressed my opinion.

I completely agree with your second paragraph. I for one LOVE a challenge, hell when i first started playing 2k12 i could barely handle pro(and i always play on superstar on 2k basketball games) it was refreshing actually. I love the fact that i can't drive in as easy anymore and dunks aren't AS common. The ai doesn't fall for pump fakes as much anymore also, and their on ball defense has improved. Last year i could get dunks on like every other possession. I don't think anybody has a problem with that. It's pretty much like you said, some gameplay mechanics need work. I'm all for the game being challenging because of the reasons i've listed, i just don't like the game being made harder because of certain gameplay mechanics not working.

Re: Please DON'T turn down gameplay intensity this year

How many of the 3 ptrs complaints are the result of

                  zone D
                  off ball D
                  double team
                  difficulty level
                  camera angle
                  defensive aptitude ??????

We here complaints but we don't hear the factors surrounding the complaints....that's the problem.

Re: Please DON'T turn down gameplay intensity this year

Hey does anyone else have a problem with psychic defenders?

ex:A good amount of time I have to deal with drving into the lane right handed (Jrue Holiday against Kenyon Dooling 83 On ball defense and 78 D awareness) and I went for a lay-up, he jumps up, I switch hands and kind of move left and in the time it took me to switch hands somehow he instantly comes back down and hops right back in my path but thnxfully he was kind of late so I barely get off a shot.
Because usually that gets my shot blocked.

BTW this comes from multiple replay reviews, not one isolated incident?

                      No that was your warning

You've been going into multiple threads with the same old complaining over the same thing over and over including this one, and I've seen enough... you can continue if you'd like to, but you have been warned.

I just had to say I was one of those moaning at the start but the more I play the more I realise I was wrong and you guys are right. I now don't want anything changed.

I just want to take the time to get good at this game. Threads like this and tips from veterans really help newbies like myself too, thank you all.

Jeez, just set your coach profile and def. settings. They are there for a reason. If you ndont know how to then check Czars latest video http://www.operationsports.com/forum...s-da_czar.html

Czar's videos help explain and prevent some of issues of defenders leaving their man to play help d, but it doesn't address the issues seen in Smoove's videos where defenders would leave their assignments completely to stand in the paint guarding no one or make dangerous switches when the offense has the ball at the perimeter. Like Czar said there are flaws in the defensive AI, though his advice helps.
