Keep Duncan, never, ever trade him, that would be completely unrealistic and a very bad move, no matter who you're getting. Otherwise, make everyone else up for grabs. Maybe try to package Parker and Ginobili, along with prospects like James Anderson, Gary Neal, and some draft picks, for Chris Paul and one of New Orleans' huge contracts. He'd probably leave the Hornets at the end of the season anyways, and it'd be like a Carmelo situation. Try this, but multiple trades with the Hornets would be required, so forcing would have to be done because 1 part of the total deal just wouldn't be fair for them, so they wouldn't agree:

Just throw in 2 first-round picks and maybe 2 second-round picks as well. That should work. You'd still be left with:

    PG: Chris Paul
    SG: Willie Green
    SF: Richard Jefferson
    PF: Tim Duncan
    C: DeJuan Blair

    Key Reserves:

    Antonio McDyess
    Matt Bonner
    Marcus Banks
    David Anderson

That's not too bad IMO. Hope this helps.

I would be comfortable with someone like a Hinrich or something running point, but I definitely want a young talent with athleticism at the three spot. San Antonio is just not giving me good trade bait. Does anyone think I should just trade off RJ for what I can get and run James Anderson at SF?
      I just tried it .
You can trade Parker , jefferson , blair for
batum , felton ,camby and mills .
camby is a 1 year deal and feltons pretty decent and batum is young and athletic .
      Keep Duncan !

Re: How to rebuild my Spurs...

Started my first dynasty with the spurs last night for fun, few pieces on the spurs had to go (McDyess, RJ) were the main ones. Got a good deal from Phoenix for them and brought in J. Dudley and Robin Lopez and traded James Anderson for Eric Maynor and a draft pick.

How in the world does anyone stand Blair playing center though? he gets bullied by basically every center who's got size on him and that's pretty much everyone (one reason i brought Lopez over) so im not sure what do to with him, thought about changing his position to PF and maybe moving Duncan over but i don't think that's the answer.

Whats everyone else's spurs line-up looking like?

Wellsince realistically your Spurs are getting up there in age what you can do is just simulate one season then when it comes draft night offer Tony Parker and your first round for a 4-10 1st round pick. From there you can start to build the franchise around that pick and trade Jefferson the next season since his contract will only have 1 year left while signing some decent free agent pieces.

If you're trying to be realistic by next season you'll have a bit of maneuverability in terms of cap room, a great franchise piece from the 1st rounder as well as the ability to trade Manu Ginobili who would have what two years left on his contract to a contender for serious cap relief and maybe a late first rounder. Maybe a team like Chicago would trade for Manu and you could net yourself Taj Gibson who is a great young piece. By the 3rd season of your association you should have tons of room assuming Duncan retires and you lose Manu, RJ's contract and so on. From there you should be all set to turn into a contender again.
