I agree Bosh looks pretty bad..but by far the worst one I have seen so far has to be Chris Paul. I mean he looks nothing like himself. I think they had his face down in 2k11. Also Kevin Durant's head looks pretty weird.

Good video, I liked it. I think LBJ's face is ok (not perfect), but the thing that kills it are the eyes. LBJ has DARK eyes, and in 2K12 he has some light-brown eyes, not really what has should have.

            I have a PS3...two things:

1.) If the cross visual gap is as big as it was last year I will not buy the game new for $66...I will wait til price drop, maybe get it used around the Holidays...

2.) My launch 60gb fatty YLOD on me after two years...I took a game break then had it fixed. It's about 2 years now into my time with the refurb. No point in trying to milk it for 2 more years...either gonna pick up a 360 or Ps3 slim to replace it and I was wondering if 2k closed the visual gap this year...this (and other games) will help me decide whether to switch to 360 or finish this gen on Ps3.

I don't know what this guy is seeing but the 2K11 ball's texture looks much more like leather than 2K12's, which looks like a cheap rubber knock-off from Toys R Us. The color is better in 12, and the 2K11 ball is a bit too shiny, but the 2K12 ball completely lacks the reflections that should be in leather under arena lighting.

He also doesn't mention anything about how 2K11's skin reflections just look much more realistic. 2K12's models look like they're lightly coated in wax, and on his computer they're completely shiny. Wade isn't perfect in 2K11, but he looks much more convincing than 2K12's chubby, bloated, Wade. Lebron does look better in 2K11, including his body. 2K12's Lebron has ridiculous cartoon shoulders. Bosh looks weird in both, but I think he looks wierder in 2K12.

Bryant and Fish both look more like themselves, but I don't get how the lighting is "way off" in 2K11 when compared to 2K12's porcelain player models on PC. Fortunately it's not as bad on the Xbox.

I didn't mention how 2K11 skin reflections look more realistic because I don't agree with that

aside from the shiny sweat look along with some of the player faces, 2K12 is the technically superior game

Re: NBA 2K12 VS 2K11 Graphics Comparison

There's a definitive graphics downgrade on 2K12 on detail/effects terms, no more elaborate sweating effects on faces and jerseys, replaced with an ugly oil effect. Crowd detail is worse, arena lighting and reflections are diverse but don't like it so much, is too dark.
Suppose we are at the end of this gen technically so we have to deal with it, as global impact and presentation however 2k12 is superior than 2k11 by large mile.
