Hasn't seemed to be a problem for me yet, though I haven't spent too much time with the game yet.

Playing a big man doesn't help either. Trying to move from the left low post to the right low post, I just get stuck with someone pushing me around.

          I'm done with this game.
I feel your pain... I know exactly what you are speaking about. I wish a designer would see this on the forum because I believe there is a solution that exist. Last night while trying to free myself from one of those "scrums" I did a spin move and proceeded on my route! Not sure how I did it, but I'm gonna finger it out.

I think it's accurate to encounter resistance when trying to cut through the lane. In fact I teach my players to never let some one walk through your "house" without putting a body on him.

I believe the designers have already put a counter move into the game because I did it last night by accident.

See this is the exact type of post that gives 2K the impression that they need to dumb down the game.

guys just need to adjust the sliders... It's not the the engine it's human error, at the end of the day it's still a game. So therefore it's not going to be as smooth as a actual NBA game.

And this is the type of post with the typical 2K/OS BS "man up" mantra that completely ignores the details of what IS being said. While there are ways around this sort of thing never never should a guy be forced into a post up when trying to cut through the lane. If you think this is right there's something wrong you.

nah but you just gotta figure out what to do, as you said. There have been a lot of legit complaints, and maybe to some people this is one. But to me, I really think it's not something game breaking like you guys think it is.

Last year's ball denial on the perimeter was game-breaking.

You know, they finally seem to get the game right, and I am just floating in it. It looks good AND plays well. I hate how the computer is so WET. Or how my teammates always seem to leave people open for threes. I hate how I got run out the building by the Wizards and Blatche shot 80% all jumpers. Ridiculous jumpers.

But, I mean come on. The rebounding, to me, is realistic (was playing w/ nets and had to make a trade so I could actually compete on the boards. Finally, height isn't the only deciding factor) You can actually get open with dribble moves. You can play D the way you want to. All of this is because of the physicality IMO.

I also hate when people say "step your game up." But really, learn to love this. If they change it back it's just going to make the game more cheesy. I promise you man.

Except for the fact that you CAN'T adjust sliders in My Player, because 2k won't put sliders in the mode....

As I stated above, sliders don't fix the contact problem. And as I said before, I'm not going to do some mortal Kombat move every time I want to move from one side of the court to the next.

                        Bogues,

When you get a chance, do you mind video taping what you are experiencing so we can have an accurate depiction of your problems.

Because on the surface of it all, I think you aren't having a problem with contact being present, but the fact that there is suction present. Correct?

That would be upsetting but maybe we don't have the technology to create contact without suction? Just a thought. So it might be an either or situation where there is no contact or suction contact, instead of REAL collisions.

                          Re: Too much bumping/holding.

It's both the suction and the reaction of the player. It isn't just that players are occasionally forced into post ups, but are grabbed from the side and even from behind. When grabbed from the side and certainly from behind the intensity of the hold is way too much. If I'm running straight, and a guy is on my right hip, and we bump... that's... slightly awkward, but understandable to an extent, but if I decide I want to run left there's no way in hell I should be velcroed to the defender in the manner that it currently happens.

Exactly. Theres also an animation where if you go to cut through, you get springboarded back to your previous position by the defender. It seems like there is no way around it because if I try to go at an angle I still get sucked into that springboard animation, so it forces me to go all the way around the court. This takes up about 15 seconds of the shot clock, rendering the possession useless.

you have to use turbo and get their momentum goin the opposite way. then go back the the way u want to using turbo. Like real life...
