    Ok, I get passing.

And it may actually be what we "asked" for.....

Theres not so much a delay in passing, but when you lead pass, the reciever heads in that direction first, then you complete the pass...if you do a bunch of L stick moving once youve initiated the sequence, youll mess it all up and wonkyness will ensue...

Hey, alot of people said the lead passes in 11 were unrealistic because it was all in one motion and way too quick...well here you go. If you dont hold the L stick will passing you WILL pass straight to your teamate...you probably dont realize your pressing it.

Anyway, passing just got a whole lot easier, thought id share.

Yeah, I figured this out once I noticed guys stepping in from the corner 3 on some drive and kicks, it's been better since.

This doesn't fix the fact that there are far too many long, drawn out pass animations. It can be an absolute nightmare trying to swing the ball around the perimeter. NBA players shouldn't have to turn their entire upper body to get a pass off.

Yep, still somewhat wonky, but once you grasp the concept....youll have alot less headaches

I'm still in last years mindset of seeing the reciever of a pass go to certain spot on the floor and me lead passing away from traffic only to have it tipped.

With my worst icon passes I notice the defense reacting soon as the button is pressed, ball still in passers hand, and my passers body going in slow motion to throw an eventual tipped pass.

It's tough to pass to a specific person though that way unless you use icon passing all the time.

this was actually in 2k11 also. If you hold the left stick while passing, your intended target will move away from his initial spot

I remember once we got 2K11 we all complained that passing was really hard, but we got used to it. I figure the same will happen with 2K12.

After some extremely frustrating online games, it's easy to see what the issue with passing and ball movement is, it's simply FAR too animation heavy.

These are NBA players...they should catch the ball in stride, it's second nature for anyone not named Kwame. It's incredible how long it can take just to receive the ball, meanwhile you're completely handcuffed until they're able to gather it up.

I'm talking about simple passes in the half court too. In fact, the smoothest receptions are probably on those new full court passes, where the ball drops nicely in front of the player. Talk about backwards.

Im starting to get the passing too, to an extent. Some things could be sped up for sure though.

I'll get passing when the I can't hit the open man because MY OWN man jumps straight up with two hands and intercepts it from a foot away on the drive.

Is it just me or what but when you tap the button the ball comes out faster ?

Whats up with me trying to pass to the low post but but the pg guarding me tips the ball , you cant pass with people in your face this year I swear.

Passing would be allot better if there was a jump pass button... its ridiculous sometimes.....

we would have to speculate about this or that if they released developer insights about passing, that what makes we're bumping our heads against the wall this is a faw and not something we're doing wrong every time.

If you don't lower play in passing lanes and hands sliders this game is unplayable/

Does this help the puck and roll? Cause that's still way messed up.

I turned quickness up to 75 for com and user.... helped with passing, but kind of made playing defense a little harder.

                            Re: Ok, I get passing.

When a player is moving, there is way too much momentum. WAY TOO MUCH!!!! Even when you are not holding the left stick. It's disappointing actually. Not a game breaker, but passing overall really needs to improve in 2k13. For real.

Also, I was playing Hakeem's greatest challenge and he had Mutombo sealed cuz he was fronting Hakeem in the post. I had the ball on the wing with Horry, then I swing the ball to the top of the key to Kenny Smith for the perfeft post pass. Kenny Smith was facing Hakeem and Hakeem was waiting for the post entry pass. But Smith throws this slow lob pass allowing the defense to recover when he should of just threw a fast bounce pass or a fast jump pass to hakeem.

The passing logic is still not where it should be and really needs to be addressed. I use icon passing too. This is my only complaint when it comes to gameplay. Passing...SMH

I use icon passing for every pass when playing 2k. So much so that I dont even have to think about it, it just comes naturally.

It makes it much easier to pass because i can always center the left stick before i press the icon of the player i want to pass it to which gets the ball out quicker and has a better success rate.

Also if you use icon passing and keep the left stick centered you'll pass it to playersvthat are moving they will stay in stride and catch it in a better position.
