    Thats my only beef I guess...otherwise I like the physics....

    I dont agree with the suggestion there is no at the basket game in NBA 2k12 at all....this is something I HATED about Live 10 and I defomotely wouldve had something to say about by now....

    then again, I play no higher than All Star

      I love exaggerations.

      I guess my game has players go up like Ray Allen a good % of the time. Funny, because they don't look like Ray Allen.

          Fouls area already called in bunches. The key to drawing fouls is having a running start or pump and leaning. The running start is realistic, the pump and leans sucker the CPU too often. I'll contest with the right stick and the CPU will jump from far away and collide with the shooter in the paint.

            I played someone who used the Rockets last night and though I did win Chuck Hayes at 6'6 was scoring in traffic all game. The guy was a wizz with Hayes. He couldnt hit that god awful freethrow though but he knew how to pump fake and manuver the shot stick in such a way to avoid Oden, Wallace and Aldridge. I should message that guy and tell him to post in this thread.

            The drive to the rim layup is very dominant in today's NBA basketball. And the game absolutely doesn't replicate that.


            Hate to play the ‘you dont know how to play card’. I dont know how to play but the controls are so intuitive I just wing it and go with the flow. In my last game I And 1ed with Patty Mills in traffic, threw down with Gerald Wallace twice in traffic, finished twice with slow easy drives with Roy and Wallace, threw a floater over a shot blocker with Felton etc etc. I dont know how to play. I work OT and I have only played about 15 games online and 1 offline. Give me a weekend with servers that work so I can play about 10 games and really learn how to do that stuff consistently. The main problem with driving to the hoop is that its only worth 2 points and certain players can get three a lot easier. <O></O>

              Love how a body part is "random" now.

              Co-signing w/ 24th on this one. I'd rather see that random body part knock the ball loose than the ball clip through it like it didn't exist.

                Don't go up with the ball in traffic. Pass out or adjust your shot. I felt like you did early on until I learned not to force my shots.
                Regardless the ball comes free far too easily. Going up strong in the paint should be just that. Tie it to strength and to govern it, but as of now these world class athletes have the grip of that claw that never holds on to the stuffed animal.

                  Incidental contact with the ball would logically cause a changed shot before actually knock it free.

                  For example, I was driving when playing real basketball, went to raise the ball, a person slapped down, hit the ball, didn't knock it loose, but it did force me to double clutch the shot to regain control.

                    This video perfectly shows what happens all too often when u go up in traffic.
                    My problem is u would never see this in the game, or at least I HAVENT. U would never see a CPU just go up like that, he would pump fake multiple times b4 attempting the lay-up/dunk.
