Players not playing enough minutes in Association

IMO, they should have a player role feature similar to Madden (but better) so we can now have franchise players and etc, bring back attributes (or tendencies) for "preferred mins" which progress/regress example AI prefers atleast 40 mins and anything less he'll complain or JTerry prefers atleast 20 minutes

Have the current player roles for contract negotiations and therefore should have a limit to how many "stars" "starters" "role players" and "6th man" we can dish out.

All the stuff about people being unhappy over playing time can be fixed by changing their "attitude" (forget what it's called in game). The Neutral, Expressive, Laid Back etc. I think 2k tries to get too cute by overusing them all since they put them all in the game when really 80-90% of the league should have neutral or laid back and the Unpredictable/Expressive should be reserved for head cases. Editing all of these things went a very long way in making my 2k11 association much more enjoyable.

I'm ok with controlling 30 teams for the most part, but didn't someone say that if you control all 30 teams, you can't do free agency or something like that?

Juke there ARE player roles.. I find that it's a balance to maintain your team's players happyness levels.. if for example someone has Kobe Bryant, and gives him 45/240 but yet his player role is set to Sixth Man, he is going to be unhappy no matter how much he plays because his talents dictate he at least be a STAR player (at the least, Starter)

I keep it simple.. 8 players.. that's who I try to keep happy.. the 5 starters, sixth man and maybe a roleplayer or 2..

the way I build my team is identify the STARS first and give them 35-37 out of the rotation, Starters get 31-33, Sixth Man 21 and Roleplayers I just juggle depending on what players I have

Bench Warmers are that, I'd give them 0 and don't really care and most of the time they don't get upset cuz well, they're bench warmers

I'm not always succesful, sometimes I get a team where my Sixth Man is good enough to start and will grumble/etc so I either trade him, give him more minutes, change player roles, etc.. but mostly I concern myself with the top 7 players on my team

it's hype imo.. I control 1 team and don't see any of the problems people are talking about

-stars not playing
-stars then becoming unhappy requesting trades
-team chemistry ruined
-etc etc etc..

from your post it seems you don't encounter the problems as well throughout 2k10 and 2k11 and frankly, i did not encounter this problem in 2k11 and in my now catalogued 2k12 Association

I said it before I'll say it again, I don't know what others here who are complaining did to mess up their Associations so badly but I think it's pure shenanigans that they're saying Kobe and Gasol and other stars simply are getting scrub-playtime

bottom line: stars are stars and the cpu will give them the playtime to make them more than happy (pleased, overjoyed, ecstatic, etc)

I haven't seen those things happening to stars neither (must admit I haven't really looked)

But I am seeing a AI controlled team giving Monta Ellis only 33 mins while the 11th and 12th man are playing in all 82 games and averaging 6mpg each...

Not to mention in played games, those 11th and 12th man love to get the bulk of they're minutes in the 4th no matter what the score is..

This. I don't know about stars being unhappy because of low minutes but there is a low minutes problem. All teams have 12 players that get minutes. The minutes that the bench players play should go to the starters.

You can. You just have to decide which teams bid on who.

I think he's referring to the bug of which if you back out of FA, you can't get back in without advancing a day so therefore we only can sign players for 13 teams...

Control all 30 teams, assign and control minutes allocated. No work around for the 77th time.

Wow. I made this thread in October and came to check in almost 3 months later and STILL no fix! Did 2K Sports even addressed this???

Oh they know, they just don't care at all.

They figure most of us will be back for 2k13 in the probably false hope that they fixed this.

SOmetimes I think they actually break a few things every year on purpose to ensure the flaws make you hate the current game enough to buy the new one when it comes out.
