Nevermind. Forgot how that update was desperately needed. Every single team just hitting 3-pointers like they're layups and I'm getting turnovers on basic passes.

Delete the following under Saved Data Utility:
Living Rosters
Rosters
NBA Today
Game Sliders
Settings

And delete everything under Game Data Utility concerning NBA 2K12. I'm going to see if the update was the problem or not so don't update the game yet.

I'm definitely not doing another system restore just to get this game working, its not worth it at all. I'll wait to see if 2k will come out with a permanent fix for this issue instead.

Yeah I have 2k12 for the PS3 and I've never encountered any freezing issues until tonight. Every time I press start after the intro thing the entire system freezes at the welcome to nba 2k12! screen.

Wow! I made it all the way to the loading roster screen until my system froze. This issue is very puzzling and frustrating to me.

I have had to go through this deleting data files and re-uploading the patch a few times in the last two weeks just to play this game. What the heck is going on? I hope that this gets addressed ASAP.

Had the same exact issue (PS3) but deleting the additional data and game data solved it.

I did this and it also solved the freezing issue for me, but now all the Nike ID shoes that we've gotten since the season started are missing. Anybody else experience this?

Was having the same problem. Deleted both of the game data files and it worked but all the new nike ID shoes are gone

Great job 2K. Played the game fine last night around midnight. Wake up and the freezing happens. How's it even possible? I've lost so much respect for 2K for their horrible way of running things for this year's game. I don't mind the amount of time everything takes, but be straight forward with us and cut the BS.
