Poll: Has your desire to play My Player diminished?

Has your desire to play My Player diminished since learning that we won't be able to take our players online?

It's personally a big let-down, since I love taking my player online to compete against others. I now have little motivation to continue with this mode.

How does this affect you?

Not really for me, I always look at My Player as a single player RPG anyway and it's still that. The thing that's killing it for my is I can't win because the CPU shoot and make too many 3s.

This is the first time I've really been able to get into My Player because of all the improvements they've made to the gameplay and the mode itself.

Yeah I was a BIG MP player in 2K10.

I played MP a lot at the beginning of 2K11 but then all the mods came out, Crew was the only reason I kept playing and it just wasn't fun anymore with all the 99s and 8 Footers, so i just stopped playing.

I just haven't got into My Player in 2K12 I played a few games but it's just not fun anymore to me.

Eh, i could care less about playing online. But the mode itself has way too many frustrating issues. I gave it a try but it has the same problems as the previous years(dumb teammates, opposing ai hits everything, horrible grading system, bad trades etc.) So i won't be touching it, im more of an association kind of guy anyway. The more control i have over my players and the less i have to rely on horrible ai the better. It's a shame though, because there are some really really cool things about my player(like getting into the hall of fame and making a speech)

Not really. I came to terms with not being able to use it a while ago, also because I'm on a kickass team that actually plays defense and rebounds I'm fine playing offline.

I don't have internet access at my house right now, so I haven't been able to get online and d/l a roster. Going to have to start a new MP when (if?) the rookies come out this year anyway. If I can't play against or beside Jimmer, what's the point to life? Association is way too much fun anyway

I love all the additions to my player....even though it has some kinks that need to be addressed.... At times it can be straight up frustrating.....BUT I kept playing anyways..... Why....? The contracts, endorsements, and chance at really making the HOF.... That's it....? No! In the back of my mind, I was hoping that they had a way to allow us/me to bring MY PLAYER online.....I'm putting in all these hours to my player rated high..,..and I have no way of showing him off...,..

MY PLAYER is all dressed up, and has nowhere to go....

I got into it for the first time last year, had fun mainly playing pickup games online and sometimes crew.

Really no desire to play it this year yet...

I like the concept of my player and the additions that have been made for 2K12. However, with all the issues the mode has it is just unplayable for me. AI teammates are dumb(seems even worse than 2K11), AI opponents hit every open shot concievable, trade logic ruins the immersion(ex. I shouldnt be playing with the Bulls and see Derrick Rose and Joakim Noah get traded while in 1st place in the division mind you), and it seems to take alot longer to build up your player with the addition of abilities. Removing the crew online feature didnt mean much to me as the community ruined the experience anyway with all the hacking and outrageous player creations.

i have some issues with My Player. AI teammates are just dumb...i've mentioned this in other threads, but this year on offense CPU teammates just don't make cuts when they have lanes to the hoop...they won't move around at all, or they move to a bad spot on the court where they can't score (big men running out to the perimeter).

they are also dumb on defense, but since we can't change the defensive settings or coach profiles in My Player there's no way to correct their dumb behavior ( i wish you could adjust these things in My Player - i know it's goes against the mode, because you're supposed to only control the player and not the coaching settings...but it would help make the mode much more playable because you could get your teammates to quit leaving their damn assignments all the damn time).

I also hate when they sub you in at the wrong position...i'm a 6'3" PG and they keep playing me at SG....why would you put a 6'3" PG up against a 6'7" SG on defense...i picked the PG position because i wanted to run the offense...but my team has me standing around doing nothing, or coming off screens for jumpers, even though my player's shooting ratings are too low to make a damn jumper. if you pick a PG, they should play you at PG!

I had the same problem as I too was a 6'3" PG but that was because Devin Harris was the starting PG. But 10 games in and I took over the starting PG spot and I play PG for around 35 minutes and I only play SG when Devin Harris is on the floor with me. The good thing is the coach doesn't put me on the floor when Devin Harris is playing so that's good.

I still love playing My Player although I don't understand with everyone complaining about opponents hitting their shots too much. I am in the Utah Jazz and we are a pretty good defensive team. Top 10 in opposing FG%.

@blues rocker.....I agree with u.....I picked PG to play PG.....At times they had me in at PF....I'm like WTF, I can deal with SG, even though I don't really like to...

Doesn't effect me, the trades are bothering me though.
