Definitely losing my desire to play that mode. I'm a hardcore My Player guy too, I usually play the whole season and not just the key games. It doesn't help either that 2K didn't add My Crew or versus mode on My Player either.

I play on Hall of Fame / Simulation / 12 Minute Quarters and playing with these settings is just suicide. There are so many things broken in this mode and hopefully it'll be addressed in the next patch.

I'm still loving it. What I look for in games is different, e.g. did they improve it over last year, and is it something where I'd rather play another mode? For me, the answer is My Player first, with Association and NBA's Greatest for when I want something different.

It's hard to believe how far it's come in just a few years. I do wish we had crew or pick-ups though. Really missing that.

Somewhat because now I started my association with the T-wolves. Other than that no it hasen't diminished.

i wasn't much of a crew player to begin with, but the only reason i ever used My Player in the past was to do crew games. with that taken out, plus the rosters being inaccurate due to the lockout, i haven't even bothered with starting a My Player career.


and I'm definitely not paying for that DLC to do it, as long as the online stability is still screwed up

2k11s my player owned me from Oct to Jan. this year its like...why...why am i busting my hump to get good? so i can pat myself on the back later and then retire? so i'll still play, but no where near as often or as long as i played 2k11.

it used to be, i'd play enough offline to get good enough for pick-ups, then use pick-ups to break up the monotony of offline. that kept me going til the day i got 2k12.

guess i'll slap a rookie's cyberface on a my player and continue on as if it's CAL.

Yes.. Normally I wouldn't be pushing for a quick patch, but something has to give.. Its not so much the game play.. because as players we gotta adjust.. its just toooo many "REALLY" moments..

@blues rocker.....I agree with u.....I picked PG to play PG.....At times they had me in at PF....I'm like WTF, I can deal with SG, even though I don't really like to...

This annoys me too, i made my guy a 5'11 point guard and i rarely play point guard. What kind of idiotic logic is this.

100 fold.

The only or main drive to play My Player was to bring him online in Pickup or Crew. Even 2k10 had Pickup.

This is why us online gamers weren't impressed by the heavily touted "Legends mode." That mode got all the focus, even the DLC is all about Legends and Zero ability for MP online.

Unbelievable move by 2K to scrap all MP online capabilities. This has gotta be up there with something EA would do. MP online was the most addicting mode, the one that got the most replay value, and the mode that people were playing in 2K11 up until 2K12's release. I guarantee you people won't be playing Legends mode til 2K13 comes out.

Yeah it has for me, I bought 2k12 for My Player it is one of the biggest modes now and when I learned no Crew it wasn't a complete deal-breaker because I thought I could run some Pick-Up games those were fun also. Then I get on no Pick-Up no nothing, and I was like what am I playing for now?

2K if there is one thing I wish you guys would understand, it's only fun to put up stats against CPU for so long. This is OUR player we work hard and put the time in to get him better and there really isn't anything beneficial or rewarding for that.

Games need Online Competitiveness especially games where you are creating your own personal character and want to go head to head with other people. I want to throw an alley-oop to a kid in Brooklyn, or block someone who is in Germany.

Sorry for the rant I still enjoy My Player and play it, but in a month or 2 when I'm a 99 and putting up 40 pts a game, it's not going to be enjoyable anymore.

I haven't completely given up on my player mode YET....I was disappointed after reading about the DLC....I kinda feel as I there's no need in me pouring more hours into the mode if no1 will see my player and what he can do.... They didn't have to give me(us) crew....BUT they could've given us SOMETHING.....I'm pretty sure I'm gonna go buy another new game now....

If they fixed the trade logic, MP would be a million times more enjoyable for me.
