Most1ted, I think most people with your issues with the game online. The problem is that constantly complaining about the problem isnt going to solve a thing (unless ur just looking for a place to vent). The devs know about these issues. Do you think they want input lag ect? Of course not. And yet the problems are still there. What does that mean? A. They dont care and arent working on them. B. They havent come up with a viable solution yet. Im going with B. They are fully aware of their issues online and they are also aware the EA is coming back on the scene next year and even though they have a track record of inferior bball gamplay the online compenent of their games is the industry standard in sports gaming. I highly doubt 2k devs are just sitting back drinking orange soda and laughing about this. They know what the deal is and dont have a fix yet. No amount of complaining is going to help at this point. We're already past that stage.

I AGREE WITH PARED'S STATEMENT. I DON'T POST OR COMPLAIN ABOUT CHEESERS BECAUSE I DON'T PLAY THEM. I JUST PLAY THE CPU OR PLAY ME SIM FRIENDS ON OS. IF YOU ARE PLAYING AN 14 YEAR OLD KID HOW CAN YOU EXPECT THE KID TO KNOW ABOUT BEING SIM AND NOT USING EXPLOITS IN THE GAME. MY QUESTION IS AT 14 WERE YOU SIM?

No one cares about sim or cheesers or anything else you little "sim" nazi's constantly try to turn these threads into. The point of this is if you slap at the ball all day and I blow past you then you should pay the price of giving up easy baskets. What shouldnt happen is a big bump fest or when you do get beat a guy from 25 feet away comes flying in to block the shot for you. The point of this thread is the game should not encourage stupid behavior. The point is the game is garbage.

We've let this thread go on longer than it should have due to your inappropriate comments. I'm trying to give some leeway for discussion here but you're making that very difficult.

If you really feel that way about the game, sell it and move on. You don't seem interested in discussion anyway and OS will not be your place to vent.

Already did, Just came back to see if how many people would defend an awful game.

Its always people who play offline coming up with these gems of wisdom. I really wonder about people that enjoy playing vs a machine.

Yet, the people who go back over and over to "experience cheese" are the ones complaining shrilly... you really should be wondering what makes people going back over and over to an experience that gives them so much pain.

Seriously, I'd much rather play offline, because I don't have to deal with an opponent that only can cheese over and over. At least off-line, I can get a pretty real experience.

Illogical? You do realize that this is a video game... you are playing... in real life?

It IS a video game, but it's a video game modeled after REAL basketball. You guys keep saying if you don't like the cheese stay offline or play a friend. Well we purchased a game that has these quick match features that we want to utilize. We purchased a game that's supposed to encourage SIM basketball. If a player plays stupid basketball and is rewarded that warrants a "fix" IMO. You can't just say "Well, the game is broken...oh well."

While the developers DO cater to our community... there are many out there they need to cater to as well. There is no requirement to purchase and play this game - anyone can do it. So if you randomly play someone - you're getting just that - a random game experience.

A quick game is a competitive environment using default settings. What is the quarter length of a quick game? Because if it's less than 12, then I reall don't think anyone should be using the word "sim" when making this argument.

I get what you're saying. I know they aim to find the balance between sim & casual. I actually thought that was the reason they implemented "game styles". The "simulation" game style was to cater to us. My point is regardless of how you put it I know for a fact they didn't set out to make the game a cheese fest and the fact of the matter is....it IS a cheese fest...even on simulation settings. I see where you're coming from though.

It will happen. The question has always been how do you differentiate someone from each camp without alienating both?

B/c what someone would refer to as a cheeser here is going to want to rule both avenues. Remember - win at all costs. Just look at what people were doing to crew.

I'm sure once they find a way to do it they will. To give you guys some insight - there were lobbies up that allowed custom settings last year which people RARELY utilized. Everyone wants a quick game... but their expectations are not always the same in what they want out of that quick game.
