I traded the game in not because it wasn't fun, or because I was worried with rosters not being correct, I traded it in as a matter of principle. At this particular time I don't feel like the NBA (and that in this instance includes both the owners and players) truly understand and appreciate their fans and as such, I spoke with my wallet. Right now there are too many other entertainment options available for me to support billionaires arguing with millionaires.
    I agree totally.

I have to admit, i have not been as excited to buy 2k this year as previous times. The thing that makes me want to play sports is watching the real players play and mimicking them. Watching Cam Newton, the lions, bills etc got me amped up and excited to play madden.

I just don't have that spark for 2k12 so i did not purchase it yet. I may get it for christmas tho

Meh...the lockout has no impact on my decision whether or not I trade in the game. If I trade the game in, it will be based sole on the merits of the game. Keeping it real, there COULD be a season right now, and I could still see myself trading in this game. NBA 2K12 has been a horrible experience thus far, and I haven't played it for almost two weeks now.

The only thing that the season does for me is give me material to argue about on the 2K Insider Blog (roster updates).

I am a franchise guy and I need the rookies
I told myself that I wouldn't buy this game due to the lockout. However, I was able to get it for $39.99 the day of release so I jumped on it. I hoping that the lockout would be over soon and I would have the rookies, but it's not looking like that's going to happen.

I'm mostly an association only player, but since there isn't any rookies I've had zero desire to start one. Heck, so far in a month and a half I've only played one Play Now game and about four or five My Player games. 2k hasn't seen anytime in my 360 since Batman came out. I actually went out and purchased College Hoops 2k8 last weekend to get my bball fix this year. I may eventually start a season, but I'm waiting until January because I know that if the season does start, then I will want to start over to have the rookies along with updated rosters. I'm not holding my breath though.
