In regards to the first clip, I wasn't debating whether or not it's a foul or backcourt violation. What I'm pointing out is that NO CALL was made - not even a foul. The play just continues on as if nothing happend. How do you explain that?!

I write it off to missed fouls. How many times do you get killed under the basket driving to the lane with no call.

I think a foul call is more of a judgement call and can sometimes be debatable. Somone going backcourt is clear cut and there's not really any room for debate. It either is or it isn't. Just like an out of bounds call. You either stepped out of bounds or you didn't.

I'd hate to play in a game officiated by a ref that saw someone clearly go backcourt or out of bounds but didn't make the call because he may have missed a foul call (or any type of call) earlier in the game. That's no way to officiate a basketball game or any sports game for that matter.
